Archaeologists excavated what they believe to be the cave where John the Baptist baptized many of his followers. Carved on the walls near the ceiling are images telling the story of John's life; affirming the fact that from the earliest beginnings of our Christian faith, art has been a part of the story. Artists have shared the Good News through drawings, music, drama, poetry and stories. Jesus taught in parables. Early church leaders used religious pictures called icons to visually share the gospel with new converts, many who couldn't read or had difficulty understanding biblical teachings. The dove, for example, represented the Holy Spirit and the fish was the symbol of Christ. These pictures symbolized hope, the resurrection and immortality.

Extractions: a.k.a. The Anointing, Revival, Father's Blessing Colin B. Donovan, STL I. CHARISMATIC GRACES (In General) b. St. Thomas Aquinas in his Summa Theologiae [ST II-II q177] tells us that the Holy Spirit does not accomplish the charisms directly but through the mediation of angels. Since they are within the power of the angelic nature, they are also capable of demonic imitation. It is difficult to explain the "charismatic power of speech" of a Hitler, for instance, on purely natural grounds. It is for these reasons that most spiritual writers, especially the mystical doctor St. John of the Cross, warn us not to seek such extraordinary phenomenon. The Magisterium, likewise, had this to say at the Second Vatican Council. Whether these charisms be very remarkable or more simple and widely diffused, they are to be received with thanksgiving and consolation since they are fitting and useful for the needs of the Church. Extraordinary gifts are not to be rashly desired (my emphasis) nor is it from them that the fruits of apostolic labors are to be presumptuously expected. Those who have charge over the Church should judge the genuineness and proper use of these gifts, through their office, not indeed to extinguish the Spirit but to test all things and hold fast to what is good (cf. 1 Thes. 5:12, 19- 21). [ Lumen Gentium Unfortunately, the appearance in the Church of a "sola scriptura" (Scripture alone) mentality has robbed some Catholics of the Holy Spirit's wisdom embodied in the Church's Sacred Tradition. We need to recover our faith in Sacred Tradition and the Magisterium if this trend is to be reversed.

Extractions: The Anointing Charles Carrin CHARLES CARRIN'S ministry spans the final half of the twentieth century. He was ordained in 1949 and in his youth traveled with men who preached in the 1800's. For the first twenty-seven years of his ministry, Charles was a hyper-Calvinist Baptist pastor and Presbyterian seminarian who denied the miraculous works of the Holy Spirit. Mid-way in his ministry that abruptly changed. Personal crisis forced him to acknowledge Scriptures he had previously ignored. It was a time of intense pain and testing. The truths he saw were frightening; they had power to destroy his denominational ministry and at that point he had no hope that another, more wonderful ministry awaited him. As a result of his submitting to God in that crisis, Charles emerged with an amazing anointing of the Holy Spirit. Today, his ministry centers upon the visible demonstration of the Spirit and imparting of His gifts. This new ministry has taken him to London's Westminster Chapel, the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship, and other significant places. He, R.T. Kendall, the former, 25 year pastor at Westminster Chapel, and Jack Taylor, former Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention, travel together holding "Word, Spirit, Power, Conferences."

Extractions: (Official Statement of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship, March 17, 1999) Why would God fill people's teeth with gold? Perhaps because He loves them and delights in blessing His children. Perhaps it is a sign and a wonder to expose the skepticism still in so many of us. Perhaps His glory and presence are drawing very near. TACF is encouraging people to obtain dental confirmations. We will do a follow-up report in the near future and publish our findings. Meanwhile dental miracles, along with many other healings, continue to take place at the nightly meetings. Things that we have seen happening in Argentina and Brazil for fifteen years are starting to happen here now. Conversions to Christ have also increased! While we are thankful for the miracles and healings that are taking place, our eyes are on Jesus and it is Him alone we look to and worship. Within moments approximately twenty people began to stream to the altar reporting that gold teeth had miraculously appeared in their mouths immediately after prayer. As the service continued the number of those receiving miraculous touches in their mouths began to increase dramatically. Some attendees were testifying to the color of their amalgam fillings changing to gold.

We are part of the Partners in Harvest family of churches out of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. Please click the buttons/graphics to learn about us. BUCKING THE TREND At New Song we remain committed to deep and genuine worship of the Living God with excellence and without compromise. Those who worship must worship in Spirit and in truth. Take a little time to bless the Lord. Take a little more time to experience Him. But you won't find this a traditional experience. It's a lot more interesting than that! We're not formal - come as you are and you'll be loved. We are young and old, single and married, well-off and struggling, of mixed races and nationalities, and different educational levels. In fact, in many ways we're probably not like anything you've seen before. We worship in a unique, relaxed contemporary style (a little rock 'n' roll, a little blues, a little jazz, some folk flavor and some influences all our own that have earned our music team seven record contracts and some KRMT Channel 41 TV appearances) while we preach a solidly historic Christian faith, geared to help each of us live and grow day by day with our Lord and the people He's called us to love. We like to think there's something here for everyone, and if there isn't, we're here to help you and others get it started! You might owe it to yourself to give us a try!

Extractions: Mary Audrey with "Left Leg Anointing" John Arnott says, " You would think you walked into a mad house or something. Well we have had one year to acclimatize. If we had started with this at this level we would not have had the faith to go on. I know as a pastor, I would have shut it down. ... I was a risk taker, but this is over the edge folks. Fill them up Lord... " John Arnott stands beside his ministry director, Mary Audrey, who has the "Left Leg Anointing". When she kicks up her left leg (like the "Can Can" dance), and says, "More Jesus", people are slain in the Spirit in the direction of her kick. You can hear her take the Lord's name in vain, "Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God", which she later changes to "Oh my goodness". You can see people laying on the floor twitching like epileptics while a woman on stage rocks back and forth on her back. You can hear animal sound as the audience breaks into chaos. At the end Arnott calls for several of his key leaders to come forward and let May Audrey lay her hands on them to spread the "left leg anointing". After this a woman dressed in white does the "dead chicken" on her feet. Click here to view The behaviour of Pentecostals on this video is identical to many occult world religions John Arnott

Trouble On The Right Wing Of The Church It is also interesting to note that the toronto airport christian fellowship has a magazine Now according to a line in that Airport Fellowship article, http://www.awitness.org/news/april_2002/church_ferrment.html
Extractions: Well all this considered together has had me asking questions about just what is really going on behind the scenes, considered in the light of what has really been going on within the churches for the last year, ever since that notorious Eden Wing Stunt that was pulled off, much to the shocked suprise of some people I would imagine, on Earth Day 2001, during the Summit of the Americas. This shaking taking place in the churches is significant not just for what it means for the future of the church, but it is also politically significant, because it might prove to be hard to get a Republican elected dog catcher in some districts once the vote that has been held together by the religious right and Christian broadcasting begins to fragment and disintegrate. As stupid as that Earth Day stunt might have seemed to people not used to such strange interventions, it nevertheless is politically significant whether you would like to pretend that it is or not, since there is this place known as a church, and churches are politically significant, no matter what the opinion of faith among certain sects of leftists (for example) might be (a rebuke here - certain leftist sects act just like certain Christians - by this I mean they are narrowly dogmatic, and do not allow conflicting information or evidence to intrude upon the 'pure truth' not a good policy in the strange times in which we are living...)

Extractions: By Stephen Huba, Post staff reporter Vineyard Community Church in Springdale is part of a movement some observers call a new Protestant denomination and others associate with the phenomenon of ''holy laughter.'' The congregation is part of the Anaheim, Calif.-based Association of Vineyard Churches, a loose fellowship of 546 charismatic churches in North America, Europe and Australia. The Vineyard movement traces its roots to the Jesus People of the late 1960s, and the first Vineyard opened in 1973 in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California. Since 1977, the prime mover behind the Vineyard movement has been John Wimber, a former Quaker pastor, church growth consultant and rock musician. Wimber is best known as a leader in the ''signs and wonders'' movement and the author of the 1986 book ''Power Evangelism.'' In the book, Wimber argues for a greater use of supernatural spiritual gifts - speaking in tongues, healing, prophesying - in the church's mission. Wimber's Vineyard is part of what some call the ''third wave'' of 20th century Pentecostalism in America.
