The Installation Service will be held at Good Shepherd on 6 July 2003 at 4:00 PM. A dinner willl follow afterwards in the fellowship hall. Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool is a four day a week program for three and four year olds. The school is in it's 45th year and is a Mission Outreach of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Extractions: My favorite place to hike is Franconia Notch in New Hampshire. The first place we head for is the Flume, a chasm extending 800feet along the flank of Mt. Liberty. The chasm runs between 90foot high granite walls, producing magnificent waterfalls and cascades. There is a bridge near the top that crosses between the walls with the waterfall running underneath these narrow pieces of wood; and it is there, when I am in the middle, that I am struck with complete awe at Godâs creation. There are no words to describe my feelings; I simply let the experience become my mediation of silence and praise. God is a silent God who looks at the inner depths of us. âHe looks on the heart.â Through this gift of silent meditation, we surrender our selves and allow the Holy Spirit to pray in us and through us. In stillness and silence God hears my wordless prayers. And in these wordless prayers, we find the mystery of God; and it is in our silence that God hears our whispers of thanksgiving and praise. God sees us as we are: broken, fearful and full of sorrow and need. And there He is, with us always, holding us, comforting us, forgiving us, marking us as His very own.
