And, the bands do not have to be removed, because the body heals around them.

Angiogram showed right aortic arch. Sternoturnover was performed at 5 years of age for pectus excavatum. After 10 months, left pneumonectomy was performed for bronchomalacia and lobar emphysema. In case you don't know, it's when you constantly stop breathing in your sleep and wind up only getting a couple good hours of sleep each night. I had a sleep study done and during that 6 hour period I stopped breathing 33 times! I had the surgery on Friday and it's still killing me. For one, I can barely talk. Second, it hurts to swallow, even liquid, but I'm still drinking a gallon of water a day. Third, it just hurts, period. They gave me Oxycotin, but it just makes me dizzy and sleepy, and does not stop the pain. And ever since I had the surgery, I've had the worst headaches! I mean badder than bad.
