They are; Atstan Impresario, Dunmonaidh Junker, Warro vd Fichtenspitze, Hero v Grundel, Norbo v Grundel, Hasenway Putz, Iolanda Tell, Karlstadt Tumblin Dice, Persian War of Marlish, Masuta Piaute, Middross Sonny, Gundo vd Mordschau, Prima Zorba, Rosetown Jack, Sansarc Navigator, Shottersway Persephone, Nickel v Unterhain, and Uran v Wildersteiger Land. If you are reading this right now then chances are you have an interest in learning what dogs are involved in producing dwarfs so that you can avoid getting dwarfs in your litters. I have received numerous emails from breeders asking me to tell them how to do just that. Amazingly very few breeders that HAVE had dwarf pups are willing to come forward and produce information/pedigrees that will help me gather that information accurately enough to report it. That is, after all, what my research is about. Identifying what dogs are carriers and when bred together will produce dwarf pups.

IMPACT OF DWARFISM Most Little People encounter progressive deformities during childhood. These deformities may lead to disability. In some instances, breathing difficulties, gradual paralysis and even death may result. IS THERE TREATMENT? Yes. As a result of treatment, deformities can be corrected and mobility returned. Affected individuals can become capable of independent living. Do I Know a Little Person? You probably do! Dwarfism can affect any baby born anytime, about 1 in 10,000 births. Most children with dwarfism are from average stature parents. ANY COUPLE CAN HAVE A CHILD WITH DWARFISM. Family history and parent's stature are usually not relevant to the child's dwarfism. Some syndromes are caused by genetic mutations at the moment of conception. Other syndromes are caused by the random combination of two recessive genes that may have been dormant for generations. (Examples of recessive genes are blue eyes or blond hair. The child must receive one recessive gene from each parent to show the trait.) Dwarfism is a general term covering a large number of medical conditions which result in short stature. In many cases, the condition is genetic. We refer to persons affected with dwarfism as "Little People", and the condition is often referred to as "short stature". It varies by condition; in addition to being short, the individual may have moderate to severe orthopaedic difficulties. Over time, gravity pulls on the skeleton of the Little Person and progressively leads to a loss of mobility. In the most severe cases, children may lose the ability to walk, and other functions are profoundly affected. In some cases, without early medical intervention, the child may die.
