Near-Death Experiences of Muslims The way of the heart According to the tenets of the Muslim faith , death is the complete end of physical life and the beginning of a period of rest until the day of resurrection when Allah judges the living and the dead. Many Muslims believe that the righteous are able to see visions of God after death and that the wicked see visions of hell. Except for these possible visions of heaven or hell, Muslims believe the soul remains in a kind of " soul sleep " until Judgment Day. When the Day of Judgment arrives, everyone is judged according to their deeds in life. Many Muslims believe that non-Muslims can attain heaven only after a period of purification in the fires of purgatory. Mebruke's Near-Death Experience
Melvin Morse
reported the following Muslim near-death experience in his book, Parting Visions
Mebruke is a thirty-year-old Saudi Arabian living in New York City. At the age of twenty she was swimming in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Italy when she became tired. As she headed for shore, she realized that she was too far out to make it back. She began to struggle and swallow water. Finally she slipped beneath the waves.
Anyway, while I was underwater, I heard a voice say, "You are not to die like this." Suddenly I felt this energy shoot through me from my feet to my head, and at the same time I seemed to be propelled out of the water. It was as if someone was physically bringing me out of the water, but I can swear that there was no physical being there.

183. Islam
Muslim views about Jesus, the Trinity, and other beliefs refuted in the Bible.

What do Muslims believe? Prayer and Meditation Muslim Women E-Mail Mosque in Marrakesh, Morocco What do Muslims believe? Is it a sister faith to Christianity and Judaism? What are their beliefs on Jesus, God, and the Ressurection? These questions will be answered as well as similarities and differences to Christianity on this page.
Muslims differ on their views of Jesus. Muslims do not believe in Jesus' Sonship to the Father. They believe in Jesus, but just believing is not enough. James 2:19 says, Thou believest that there is one God, thou doest well; ; the devils also believe, and tremble." James was also talking about faith and doing good works. This also brings to mind a few other beliefs that Muslims have that are contradictory to the Word of God. They view Jesus as the Son of Mary, but not the Son of God. That is a dangerous belief according to the Book of 1 John .; 1 John 4:15 says, "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in Him, and He in God." In laymen's terms, anyone who does not confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God does not dwell in Him, neither is He one with God. God is none of his, nor is he or she born of God. (1 John 5:1)
They even deny the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. However, it is surprising that they have verses in Book 4 of the Qu'ran that God raised Jesus up.

Muslim communities have felt threatened
Police forces across the UK are drafting in more officers and taking extra measures to protect Muslims from any violent reaction to the US terror attacks. London and West Midlands police are among those forces opting for high-visibility patrols, particularly near vulnerable places such as mosques.
Anyone who thinks that what happened in the US is an excuse for acting against other religious groups will not be tolerated
West Midlands Police Members of the Muslim community have welcomed the police action saying they fear being targeted following last week's attacks in the US. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr George Carey has called for a "building of bridges" with the Muslim community in Britain, not "walls". Scotland Yard Commissioner Sir John Stevens has vowed to protect Muslims from any violent reaction to the terror campaign in the US.

An Introduction to Islam
Islam started in Saudi Arabia and moved outward. There is still a huge population of Muslims in that area but also there are about 600 million followers spread around the world. Islam means peace, submission and obedience. A Muslim is a follower of the Islamic way of life and tries to organise his or her life according to God's word.
The moon and star is a symbol often used on flags or buildings of Islamic countries. Where the religion originated the days are so hot that the people often moved by night. The stars led the way and the moon lit the way. This symbol is sometimes used to show how Islam guides and lights a Muslim's way through life. Muslims believe that there is only one God, whose name in the Arabic language is Allah. God had special messengers or prophets. Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them all) were God's prophets. People playing an important role in the lives of these prophets are also highly thought of. Mary,(God be pleased with her) Jesus'(pboh) mother was considered very highly because she had given birth to the Messiah, one of God's prophets. These prophets or messengers told people how to live by giving messages from God. There are no pictures of the prophets because they consider that the message is more important than the messenger.
