Some large national charities produce a standard governing document that can be used by organisations associated with that charity. These standard governing documents contain both agreed objects and administrative provisions that are specific to a particular type of organisation. A list of organisations for which a standard governing document has been agreed can be found below. Copies of these documents are not available from the Charity Commission.

Watchman Nee

By Dennis McCallum
Nee's Doctrine
Nee was clearly influenced by the Plymouth Brethren and the Keswick, or "victorious life," form of teaching. He also read and admired Hudson Taylor, George Meuller, and Madam Guyon. These influences are evident from the time of "The Spiritual Man" (1923) up until "The Normal Christian Life."53 The appeal of his preaching, according to Kinnear's sources, was "his gift of making so plain the way to God that relies solely upon Christ's finished work. All too many Christians were striving after a salvation based on good works."54 Late in his career, Nee is said to have developed some doctrinal aberrations that went beyond his usual purism. These areas had to do with a heavy emphasis on authority and submission, and an increasing tendency to dichotomize the material and the spiritual, or the ideal and the real. Some of the literature published during the past ten years claiming to originate from the last 5 years of Nee's ministry are definitely deserving of criticism at many points.55 However, care must be exercised here because of an unusual feature in his writings. Only two books actually written by Nee's own hand are available in English. These are Concerning Our Missions, and The Spiritual Man. Ironically, Nee criticized both of these works.56 His other works are translated from notes taken from his lectures, and are therefore open to interpretive additions by the translators.57

History by W. R. Dronsfield from an exclusive viewpoint.

South African Bible Believers The "Brethren" since 1870
Also Miscellaneous Papers Of Interest This book was written by Mr W.R. Dronsfield, and is reproduced with his permission. It is written from an "Exclusive" viewpoint, and while I might not agree with every statement, this book is presented as a valuable source of history, and as an example of how some within "Exclusive" ranks would view the events in "Brethren" history. Publishers Note This book was originally written as a sequel to Andrew Miller's little volume which had shown the "brethren" in their origin and subsequent division into "Open" and "Exclusive" groups. The object of writing the sequel was to give the then current generation (1965) an understanding of how we came to be meeting as we meet, a humble explanation of the divisions which had occurred and with the desire that we should avoid the pitfalls previously encountered in our history. Its writing has been updated to deal with the reunion which was consummated in 1974.
This reprint has in mind that there is now a new generation which has arisen since the re-union exercises of the years to 1975, that there are enquirers from previous sad divisions amongst brethren and from the denominations as well as some in fellowship who would benefit from a clear and precise presentation of the situation as it is now.

Richard Wyman Regrets Pain, Distress and Offense to the Brethren On May 10, 2005, Richard Wyman met with members of the Brethren in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  In that meeting, he agreed to stop publishing materials on the Brethren.  This includes all publications attacking or derogatory of the Brethren. Mr. Wyman has acknowledged that several statements posted on this web site were capable of being construed as defamatory.  He also acknowledges that the statements may have caused pain, distress and offense to the Brethren.  For this, he expresses regret. These acknowledgments were included in a settlement agreement that was entered in U.S. District Court.  This resolves all outstanding concerns regarding the former activities.  The Brethren are grateful that Mr. Wyman has agreed to refrain from publishing anything further on the subject of the Brethren.
