Minister - Rev Geoff Bowell
The Town
Peterhead is the largest town in Aberdeenshire, some 32 miles (51.5 km) north of the city of Aberdeen and the most easterly town in Scotland. It was founded by the 4th Earl Marischal and developed around the harbour at Keith Inch in 1587. By 1680 Peterhead had become one of the largest fishing ports on the north coast. Today Peterhead, known locally as the 'Bloo Toon', is a thriving town of around 19,000 inhabitants where the local Buchan dialect is still frequently heard, have a look at the 23rd Psalm!

THE PRINCIPALITY OF ZUGESBUCHT AND
CONGREGATIO CATOLICA SINE DOGMA
CONGREGATIO CATOLICA SINE DOGMA (CCSD)
(The Catholic Congregation Without Dogma) (CCSD) is a congregation founded in 1995 by some ULC ministers and it is led by a Prince-Cardinal, His Royal Eminence, The Prince-Cardinal Michael. The ULC stands for The Universal Life Church, and if you would like to be an ordained minister you should visit ULC . As a congregation of ULC we only believe in that which is right and every member of CCSD also has the right to interpret what is right for themselves. But CCSD follows the Catholic Church's model.
THE PRINCIPALITY OF ZUGESBUCHT
is a principality of the church ruled by the Prince-Cardinal. Therefore it could be compared with the Vatican. The Principality actually exsists and is situated in the historic Highland County of Caithness in Scotland. The Prince-Cardinal is also a Laird of Camster.
STATEMENT
We, the Prince-Cardinal of the Principality of Zugesbucht great you! We have discovered a lack of what the Vatican is in the real world, and would like to bring it into the world of micronations. Note, that the religious aspect is only secondary and We accept all faiths. We would like to have archbishops and bishops around the world, and if you are, or if you have someone among your citizens, who is interested in religious aspects - regardless of faith - please, let him or her know about our webpage.

Scotland:- Church Records
  • Registers of the Church of Scotland prior to 1855 may be consulted at the General Register Office in Edinburgh (see also the GRO tutorial ). Copies can also be seen at LDS family history centres around the world. Church of Scotland records after that date, as well as records of a number of non-conformist churches (e.g. Catholic, Episcopalian, Free Church) are usually held at the National Archives of Scotland in Edinburgh. Baptisms and marriages in the Church of Scotland parish registers before 1855 have been indexed and these indexes may be consulted at the General Register Office in Edinburgh, in LDS family history centres around the world (on microfiche or on CD-ROM), and also online through Scotland's People , which also provides digitised images of records (for a fee). There is also a national project underway to index burials before 1855, across Scotland. List of the Old Parochial Registers . "This list is based on the printed Detailed List of the Old Parochial Registers of Scotland which was first published in 1872. It provides a basic reference guide for identifying the dates for the births/baptisms, marriages/proclamations of marriage and deaths/burials in the Old Parish Registers (OPRs) held by the General Register Office for Scotland." Three appendices are also provided which list: (1) Church of Scotland records in the National Archives of Scotland (formerly Scottish Record Office) containing pre-1855 birth, death and marriage entries. (2) Kirk session and other material found in the OPRs. (3) Miscellaneous records containing entries from Non-Conformist churches relevant to the OPRs.

Joshua 1:5 West Glasgow New Church Website Welcome to the West Glasgow New Church Website. This website has been launched with the intention of providing useful information, up to date news, and an administrative service to assist the smooth running of West Glasgow New Church committees. We are indebted to the late David Jenkins, a much loved member of West Glasgow, who laid much of the ground work for putting WGNC on the web. His passionate faith, sharp mind and humour are sorely missed. West Glasgow New Church was formed when a group of believers from a brethren assembly left to start a new church. Since starting in February of 1989 its members have grown from approximately 100 to over 200 adults and children. The Church has rented a number of schools or colleges to meet in, starting off in Knightswood Secondary School then moving to Broomhill Primary School, Anniesland College and finally to Cleveden Secondary School. Members of WGNC the church come from all over the Greater Glasgow area but the majority live in the West End. Our members come from all kinds of backgrounds, walks of life and church experience. They see living with distinctive Christian character as a priority in the communities in which they are involved.

Crown Terrace is the only Methodist Church in Aberdeen. Our minister is Rev David Collinson. We are part of the North of Scotland Mission Circuit which covers several churches on the coast: Portgordon, Buckie , Banff, Portessie, Findochty, Cullen , Whitehills, Peterhead and Cruden Bay. This means that we cover a range of 70 miles, making us the largest Methodist circuit in Britain. There are 3 other full-time ministers in the circuit, one of whom, Rev. Christopher Mabb has his own Methodist web site . Many of the church services are conducted by retired ministers, ministers employed at Aberdeen University and lay preachers. To find out who is preaching this week, please see 'The Plan' Sunday Services are at 11am and 6:30pm , and the morning worship is preceded by the "Sunday at Ten" Bible study, discussion group and choir. Sunday School and creche are features of our morning service. Through Aberdeen's links with both the oil industry and education, you will always find people from far corners of the world worshipping with us. We value the experience of worshipping in an environment of people from many different cultures. See our Church Activities page for details on the various goings-on which are a part of this welcoming church.
