Geir Winje EN KORT PRESENTASJON AV BAHÁ'Í TROEN PÅ ENHET Bahá'í-troen bygger særlig på Bahá'u'lláhs skrifter. Det viktigste lærepunktet, eller den grunnleggende trosforestillingen, dreier seg om enhet: Enhet mellom menneskene og enhet mellom religionene begrunnes i Guds enhet: Det finnes bare én Gud, derfor finnes det egentlig bare én religion for én menneskehet. I bahá'í-troen forstås denne religionenes enhet dithen at alle religionsstiftere og store profeter før Bahá'u'lláh har gitt åpenbaringer fra den ene Gud til ulike kulturer gjennom tidene: Abraham, Krishna, Moses, Zarathustra, Buddha, Jesus og Muhammed har alle formidlet det samme grunnleggende budskapet fra Gud. Dette budskapet er utformet ulikt, fordi menneskeheten til ulike tider og i ulike kulturer har hatt ulike forutsetninger og behov. I dette ligger - etter bahá'í-troens egen forståelse - en anerkjennelse av alle de store religionene. Vår erkjennelse av Gud og det guddommelige er begrenset og relativ, med andre ord har ingen religion noe endegyldig bilde av sannheten. På en måte kan vi si at Bahá'u'lláh i og for seg ikke sa noe nytt til menneskeheten. Han kom med det samme kjernebudskapet som de tidligere profetene: Mennesket er skapt av en kjærlig Gud. Mennesket er et åndelig vesen, og skal leve videre etter dette livet. Ifølge bahá'í-troen er dette religionenes svar på "de evige spørsmål".
