A Bible Believing Church?
How The Form Of The Sunday Sermon Can Adversely Affect What Is Preached Many churches claim to be "Bible-believing" churches, but it is not unusual to that find that one "Bible-believing" church has doctrines directly opposed to the doctrines of another "Bible-believing" church. What's going on here? One way to understand this is to look at what goes on in the worship service, particularly, the sermon. Apostolic Who?

A large-scale revival of the true gospel occurred during the Anabaptist movement led by the Mennonites under Menno Simon in the fifteenth century in Europe. In 1825, the revival was enhanced by the missionary zeal of Brother Samuel Henry Fröhlich of Switzerland. Born July 4, 1803, he studied to become minister of the state church. The more he studied the rationalistic theology of the state church, the less he believed in the atoning works of Christ s sacrifice on Calvary. However, in April 1825, the Holy Spirit began to convict him of his sinful life of unbelief. The burden of sin drove him to seek a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. During the next two years, the Lord brought about an inner conversion that brought him peace and joy. In December of 1828, he preached his first sermon to 1,800 souls in the state church; a great awakening followed during the next two years. His preaching of justification by faith and a personal relationship with Christ was unacceptable to church authorities; he was removed from office October 1830, and expelled June 1831 . Although Fröhlich never intended to start a new denomination, he felt a need to shepherd those who found new life in Christ. Because of severe persecution, he moved from town to town preaching the word, starting new churches. He finally had to flee to Strasburg, France, in 1844. There he served the Lord until his death on January 15, 1857, at the age of 53

Weds., May 12, 1999 Who We Are HTML 3.2 Home ACORN About the Apostolic Christian Church (Nazarean) The Apostolic Christian Church (Nazarean) frequently referred to as the ACC is a denomination which teaches that the grace of GOD has been made available to all men through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, His Son; that the only way to fellowship with GOD the Father is through absolute confidence that Jesus paid the penalty for our sin by shedding His blood at Calvary, and obedience to His will as revealed by His Holy Spirit. While we believe and teach that those who have this faith gladly do good things for their fellowmen, we absolutely reject any notion that the good deeds men do can in any way pay for their salvation. Because we hold such 'old fashioned' views as the inherently sinful nature of man and his need to be reborn "not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD" we, like numerous other 'evangelical' denominations, trace our roots back to the congregations established by the original Apostles of Jesus. Just as most denominations began as small fellowships of believers keeping a tradition of worship, so our denomination began in the early 1800's in Switzerland. There a young preacher named Samuel H. Froehlich came to understand that despite the fact that he had been baptized as a baby in the Protestant state church and was a trained theologian, he was separated from fellowship with GOD because of his sinful human nature. Searching the Bible anew, he realized that the reason Jesus had died was to pay for Sam Froehlich's personal misdeeds, and when he accepted this salvation, he was reborn by the Holy Spirit of GOD. Froehlich began to preach the gospel of redemption through faith in the shed blood of Jesus and the need to be born again, and was soon excommunicated from the national church.

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
The Apostolic Christian Church is a religious body in the United States and Canada that originates from the anabaptist movement. The origins of the Apostolic Christian Church are found in the dramatic conversion experience of Samuel Heinrich Froehlich (1803-1857) of Switzerland . Froehlich was baptized in and soon founded the Evangelical Baptist Church . The first American church was formed in Lewis County, New York in by Benedict Weyeneth (1819-1887), who had been sent by Froehlich at the request of Joseph Virkler, a Lewis County Mennonite farmer. In a church was formed in Sardis, Ohio . The church experienced primary growth in the midwest. Though sometimes referred to as the New Amish , these believers generally called themselves Evangelical Baptist .
