101. Liverpool Cathedral
Mersey World provides a photograph and brief details of the largest anglicancathedral. Designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, it is a 20thcentury building
http://www.merseyworld.com/cathedral/
Liverpool Cathedral Open from 8.00am - 6pm. Visitors are always welcome at services, guides are on hand to help and the Cathedral offers a range of facilities. The largest Anglican Cathedral in Britain and one of the great buildings of the twentieth century. The massive tower stands over the city as a symbol of faith in God amidst the bustle of the modern world. The Cathedral abounds in superlatives: highest gothic arches, largest organ, heaviest ring of bells but the grandeur is balanced by a great sense of welcome and peace. The whole Cathedral is used imaginatively for many purposes - worship, concerts, exhibitions, recitals, displays. Specialist guided Tours can be arranged for children and adults. Admission is free but voluntary contributions are invited. Secure parking is available for a small charge. Admission to the Tower and Embroidery exhibition £2.00 (concessions £1.00) The Visitor Centre stocks cards, books, clerical requisites and a wide variety of souvenirs. The Refectory offers an excellent range of freshly prepared food from 10.00am - 4.00pm. Gothic vaulting and panoramic views are the ideal background for splendid food (Egon Ronay Awards 1993-1995)

For current news and views from the Diocese of Sydney visit the Anglican Media website. Read addresses and sermons from the Archbishop and Regional Bishops on the media site. Important to our life here in Sydney is our mission. "To glorify God by proclaiming our saviour the Lord Jesus Christ in prayerful dependence on the Holy Spirit, so that everyone will hear his call to repent, trust and serve Christ in love, and be established in the fellowship of his disciples while they await his return." Our aim is to see ten per cent of the people of Sydney in Bible-based churches in 10 years. We seek your prayers as we strive to serve God and make him known. Dr Peter Jensen

Theological Vision
We worship God in the Christian tradition of trinitarian faith. God, our Creator, has called this world to have life, has redeemed this world through Jesus Christ, and sends the Holy Spirit to bring it to the fullness of life. Opportunities for personal renewal are constantly offered through Worship and Christian Education. When we began to think of the Renewal of our sense of Community, we realized that our facilities were badly in need of a major overhaul.
The voice of homeless families is often not heard; they are unable to change systems that impact their lives and the lives of their children. Learn about Christ Church's involvement.
Bishop Barry Hollowell is pleased to announce the appointment of
Rev. Ansley Tucker as rector of Christ Church. Ansley will begin her ministry at Christ Church by July 1st, 2005. Please click here to read her biographical note:
