distorting translations to support their claims
We present to our readers a reproduction of an article evaluating the english translations of the Holy Quran. Of particular interest is the section about Ahmadiyya/Qadiani translations . This section explains how Ahmadiyya even distorts the translation of the Holy Quran to support the Ahmadiyya claims.
ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS OF THE HOLY QUR'AN
An Annotated Bibliography
by A.R. Kidwai
Before the fairly recent publication of the massive World Bibliography of The Translations of The Meanings of The Holy Qur'an (Istanbul, OIC Research Center, 1986), it was hard to even track down the material on the translations of the Holy Qur'an in various languages. Nonetheless, since the Bibliography is not annotated, the reader gets no idea about the translations make-up, his dogmatic presuppositions and his approach to the Qur'an, as well as the quality of the translation. The present annotated bibliography, taking into account only complete English translations to date, attempts to answer some of the above questions. In preparing the bibliography I received all possible help from the Islamic Foundation, Leicester (UK), which is thankfully acknowledged.

or allegiance of the faithful. In 1891, he claimed to be the expected mahdi Ahmad described his teachings, incorporating both Sufic and orthodox Islamic, Hindu, and Christian elements, as an attempt to revitalize Islam in the face of the British Raj, proselytizing Protestant Christianity, and resurgent Hinduism. Thus, the Ahmadiyya community believes that Ahmad conceived the community as a revivalist movement within Islam and not as a new religion. Virtually all mainstream Muslim sects believe that Ahmad proclaimed himself as a prophet, thereby rejecting a fundamental tenet of Islam: Khatme Nabuwat Khatme Nabuwat The exact size of the Ahmadiyya community worldwide is unclear, though there are concentrations of Ahmadis in India, Pakistan, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Gambia. Ahmadis have lived in what is present-day Bangladesh since the early 1900s. Roughly 100,000 Ahmadis live in Bangladesh today In 1971, Bangladesh, then East Pakistan, fought a liberation war to secede from its union with Pakistan, in order to protect its own Bengali language and culture. After a brutal nine-month war, the newly independent Bangladeshis created a constitution founded upon four guiding principles: nationalism, socialism, democracy, and secularism.

FLAWS IN THE AHMADIYYA ECLIPSE THEORY
Dr David McNaughton
Summarised in: http://meltingpot.fortunecity.com/melwood/368/qadsum.html#beg The Holy Month of Ramadan 1311 (March/April 1894) contained both a lunar and a solar eclipse. The Ahmadiyya community attaches great importance to them, believing that they conferred unusual and special status on their leader, Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Fundamental to their thesis is a claim that the lunar eclipse occurred on the earliest possible date in an Islamic month - which they argue is the 13th. For them, it was also significant that (according to their reckoning) the subsequent solar eclipse took place on 28th Ramadan, supposedly occupying the 'middle' of the permissible range of dates
Question-marks against eclipses on the 27th The Ahmadiyyas maintain that a solar eclipse may be witnessed either during the 27th, or on the 28th, or on the 29th of a lunar month. At first glance the 27th does seem questionable, because a crescent sighting on the following date would terminate the month incorrectly after just 28 days. Remembering that a New Moon is born during a solar eclipse, its age just after sunset next day would exceed 24 hours - almost certainly rendering it visible somewhere in the world. Admittedly, if people are following an Islamic calendar based on observations made just at one point, then even a 30-hour crescent will sometimes be missed, particularly if the sun-moon azimuth difference is quite great. (Under these circumstances, incidentally, reports from the opposite hemisphere

WELCOME to Qadian Darul-Aman
Why Qadian is famous throughout the World?
In the early eighties of the nineteenth century, a devoted follower of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian announced that he had been a constant recipient of divine revelation for some years and that God had informed him that the day of the renaissance of Islam was about to dawn and this revival would be brought about through him. This voice was raised by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian a small town situated in a corner of the most backward province of India , lacking all facilities for communication with the rest of the world. He had not received much formal education but had made a deep study of the Holy Qur`an and of the scriptures of other faiths and was richly endowed with knowledge of the profound eternal verities. Promised Messiah and Mahdi In 1889 he claimed that he was the Reformer of the fourteenth century of the Islamic era and was the Mahdi and Promised Messiah

There are at least ten million Ahmadi throughout the world, with some counts being more than ten times that high At the end of the nineteenth century Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian claimed to be the Reformer of the age Mujaddid , Promised Messiah, Mahdi and Prophet of the age. (Note that the two subsects of the Ahmadiyya interpret this last claim differently). Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claimed to have fulfilled the prophecy of the return of Jesus . He and his followers claimed that his advent was foretold by Muhammad the prophet of Islam, and also by many other religious scriptures of the world. In 1889 Mirza Ghulam Ahmad laid down the foundation of his community, which was later on given the name of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat. Since its inception, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat's objective has been the revival of Islam. Soon after the death of the founder the movement split into two sects: the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community .The Ahmadiyya Movement stands in the same relation to Islam in which Christianity stood to Judaism . Ahmadi Muslims' beliefs are alleged to be heretical and outside of Islam by most

The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat-i-Islam (not to be confused with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association ), formed as a result of an ideological differences between the Ahmadiyya Community after the demise Maulawi Nur 'ud-Din in 1914, the first Khalifa of its founder, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad . The dispute was based on differing interpretations of a verse (33:40) in the Qur'an related to the finality of prophethood, other issues of contention were the Kalima, funeral prayers, and the suitability of the elected Khalifa (2nd successor) Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad (the son of the Founder). The Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat-i-Islam is led by a President or Amir The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement believes Mirza Ghulam Ahmad to be the Mujaddid (reformer) of the 14th century Hijra and not a true prophet. They believe that his use of the terms “Nabi” and “Rasool” when referring to himself was metaphorical only. They support this contention with the help of writings by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad himself wherein he has clarified his use of these terms.
