The TTM/BFRB Specialty Clinic offers assessment and treatment services for persons with Trichotillomania and/or other Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (e.g., chronic skin picking or nail biting. The TTM/BFRB Specialty Clinic offers the following services: Non-pharmacological treatments for managing TTM and other BFRBs
Psychological and behavioral assessments of TTM/BFRBs and related concerns
Educational seminars for organizations
Consultation services for schools or employers
Sliding fee scale Fee Structure The fees for the Tic Disorders Specialty Clinic are based on the fees of
the Psychology Training Clinic. The standard fee is $50 per hour. However, the clinic uses a true sliding fee scale such that services may be rendered for as little as $1 per hour depending on financial need. The TTM/BFRB Specialty Clinic does not accept third-party reimbursement, but does not turn away patients because of inability to pay. Staff The Trichotillomania/BFRB Specialty Clinic is directed by Dr. Doug Woods. Dr. Woods is a licensed Psychologist and an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology and has over 8 years of experience in the assessment and treatment of TTM and other BFRBs. Clinical Psychology graduate students also provide services as part of their training experiences. The majority of the students have their Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and are working toward their Ph.D. All have significant knowledge of TTM and BFRBs and often conduct research in the area.
