The website includes all the information necessary to administer this therapy. Physicians should not attempt antibiotic therapy until they have read the protocol completely as this therapy is unlike any other they may be currently using. There are many components to these diseases and their treatment and antibiotic therapy must be tailored to the individual. Treatment periods are usually long and medication and dosage adjustments may be required.

All about Rheumatoid Arthritis symptoms, medications and treatment.
When my Grandmother was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis a few decades ago, the milder cases were simply put on aspirin, over 20 a day! If they didn't die of a bleeding ulcer, they were quickly disabled from the disease. The more severe cases might be put on Prednisone or gold but was pretty much it. Not a lot to choose from.
As much as I hate having RA, I am glad I have it now. Never before have we had so many treatment options. In the last two years we've been bombarded with new drugs and treatments. We have so much to choose from. Most of us will live full productive lives, unlike those a generation ago.
There are a host of new drugs in development, and maybe even a cure in the works. The next generation of RAers may never even have to consider a joint replacement or take a liver damaging drug, what a wonderful world that will be!

PREFACE It is my contention that potassium deficiency is either causing, or greatly making worse, rheumatoid arthritis, which I will shorten to "arthritis" in these articles. In assessing the possibility of this hypothesis people have little to go on. Virtually any textbook in the past would devote no more than a paragraph to potassium which would state that potassium is never deficient in the diet, or give one exception to the dozen or more known, or in some only under clinical conditions. The reason for this careless treatment of potassium is probably because potassium is present in almost all foods as grown in large quantities. Professionals think about it as if it were air or water. However even air and water can be deficient and if voluminous texts are not written about these deficiencies, it is because both of those deficiencies can be detected by our senses. Extremely powerful emotions and instincts impel people to correct those deficiencies immediately and at any cost. Potassium is odorless, colorless, and, in the usual concentrations, tasteless. There is no way to detect a deficiency and cell content can not even easily be assessed in the body by modern analytical procedures. Whole body cell content is virtually "invisible".

Alternate Names : RA Definition Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic (long-term) inflammatory disease that primarily affects the joints and surrounding tissues, but can also affect other organ systems.
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid Arthritis The cause of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is unknown. However, RA involves an attack on the body by its own immune cells (auto-immune disease). Different cases may have different causes. Infectious, genetic, and hormonal factors may play a role. The disease can occur at any age, but it begins most often between the ages of 25 and 55. The disease is more common in older people. Women are affected 2.5 times more often than men. Approximately 1-2% of the total population is affected. The course and the severity of the illness can vary considerably.

Peer Review Status: Internally Peer Reviewed History: Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic inflammatory disorder of unrecognized etiology that primarily involves the joints. RA typically affects the small joints of the hand and foot and can lead to deformity and destruction of the joints due to erosion of cartilage and bone. RA occurs worldwide; its prevalence in the developed countries varies between 0.5% and 2%. It affects women two to three times as often as men with peak onset between the ages of 30 and 55 years. The disease onset is usually insidious (weeks to months), with pain, stiffness, and swelling of multiple joints. Weight loss, low-grade fever, malaise, fatigue, and depression also may be present. Regardless of early asymmetrical involvement, most patients eventually will develop a symmetric inflammatory arthritis. Elderly patients may first display diffuse myalgias, weight loss, stiffness, and fatigue (similar to

This deformity of the hand is due to rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
