Live chat by Live Person This website is devoted to the sufferers of psoriasis and brings them a new ray of hope through homoeopathy. Psoriasis though not a life threatening condition, has serious impact on life style and self esteem of the patient. The disease known from biblical time still continues to elude medical fraternity in term of its precise cause and hence definite cure. The itching associated with the condition is not only distressing to the patient but even to the treating physician.
Yet, the positive point is Homoeopathy, the fast growing branch of alternative medicine, has unambiguous potential to cure the disease. Being most effective, gentle, and safe, Homoeopathy has acclaimed immense popularity across the globe. Many diseases labeled as difficult and incurable by conventional mode of treatment find promising answer in homoeopathy. Amazingly this novel solution of treatment is now available at your fingertips. Homoeopathy India Foundation has designed an on-line Treatment Protocol (OTP) for the sufferers of Psoriasis. You may be located at countryside home in Europe or major metropolis or the towns of third world countries; we can bring homoeopathy treatment to you through Internet.

Psoriasis on the knuckles Alternative names Return to top Plaque psoriasis Definition Return to top Psoriasis is a common skin inflammation (irritation and swelling) characterized by frequent episodes of redness, itching , and thick, dry, silvery scales on the skin. Causes, incidence, and risk factors Return to top Psoriasis is a very common condition, with approximately 3 million Americans affected. It can appear suddenly or gradually. In many cases, psoriasis goes away and then flares up again repeatedly over time. The disorder may affect people of any age, but it most commonly begins between ages 15 and 35. Psoriasis seems to be an inherited disorder, probably related to an inflammatory response in which the immune system accidentally targets the body's own cells. Evidence of the condition is most commonly seen on the trunk, elbows, knees, scalp, skin folds, or fingernails, but it may affect any or all parts of the skin. Normally, it takes about a month for new skin cells to move up from the lower layers to the surface. In psoriasis, this process takes only a few days, resulting in a build-up of dead skin cells and formation of thick scales.

19. What Is Psoriasis?
Information about the different types of psoriasis.
http://www.skincarephysicians.com/psoriasisnet/whatis.html
What is Psoriasis? Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition. There are five types, each with unique signs and symptoms. Between 10% and 30% of people who develop psoriasis get a related form of arthritis called “psoriatic arthritis,” which causes inflammation of the joints. Plaque psoriasis is the most common type of psoriasis. About 80% of people who develop psoriasis have plaque psoriasis, which appears as patches of raised, reddish skin covered by silvery-white scale. These patches, or plaques, frequently form on the elbows, knees, lower back,
and scalp. However, the plaques can occur anywhere on the body. The other types are guttate psoriasis (small, red spots on the skin),
pustular psoriasis
(white pustules surrounded by red skin), inverse psoriasis (smooth, red lesions form in skin folds), and erythrodermic psoriasis (widespread redness, severe itching, and pain).
