http://www.calciuminfo.com/
Calcium is essential to maintaining total body health. Your body needs it every day not just to keep your bones and teeth strong over your lifetime, but to ensure proper functioning of muscles and nerves. It even helps your blood clot.
Most Americans think they are getting enough calcium everyday, but, the fact is, they are not - they're calcium deficient. Calcium deficiency is usually due to an inadequate intake of calcium. When blood calcium levels drop too low, the vital mineral is "borrowed' from the bones. It is returned to the bones from calcium supplied through the diet. The average person loses 400 to 500mg of calcium per day. If an individual's diet is low in calcium, there may not be sufficient amounts of calcium available in the blood to be returned to the bones to maintain strong bones and total body health.
Taking calcium regularly everyday is key to preventing and treating calcium deficiency. So how much daily calcium do you need? How much do you get? This website is a great resource to help you learn more about calcium, its importance to your health and how your needs change during different lifestages. More.

Did You Know That Arthritis Could Cost You Extra Years Of Your Life?
Many Doctors And Medicines Claim To Help Arthritis -
Find Out Why They Don't Work...
More than 70% of all people in the United States currently suffer from some type of arthritis. This is a staggering number that is on the rise. Every year more than 750,000 new people experience the pain and frustration that comes with arthritis. Many people don't know where to turn other than to their primary care physician. Others try using over-the-counter drugs to no avail. These are only temporary solutions that merely stop the pain for a short period of time- never treating the underlying disease. There are more than 100 different types of arthritis. Some types can lead to blindness, deafness, paralysis… and even premature death! With so many different types, it is difficult for any doctor to diagnose arthritis properly. Many times they will tell you that you simply have arthritis and to take a common over-the-counter medicine. While these medicines may delay the pain, they do not help it to go away. We would like to show you a way you can get the help you need for your arthritis. That is why we offer a FREE initial evaluation to properly diagnose the problem and offer an effective solution.

Osteoporosis drug may reduce risk of breast cancer
FACTS ABOUT BREAST CANCER
  • One in nine women will develop the disease sometime during their lifetimes. Breast cancer is the second-deadliest cancer in women. Risk factors include increasing age, close relatives with breast cancer and history of noninvasive breast cancer. The risk for breast cancer increases as we get older. Women who carry a baby to full term in their early 20s have a lower risk of breast cancer than women who have later first pregnancies or who have no children.

    Wrist fractures and osteoporosis
FROM Wrist fractures and osteoporosis: A new study of health claims indicates that only 1 out of 4 older women who fracture their wrists is tested or treated for osteoporosis. Kevin B. Freedman, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, and colleagues examined records of health plans in 30 states. They identified 1,162 women age 55 and older whose wrists were fractured between 1994 and 1997.
