Apparative Befunde wie Röntgenbilder oder Laborwerte lassen sich inzwischen per Internet gut übermitteln, zur Stellung einer Diagnose bleiben sie weiterhin nur Hilfsmittel, die ausschließlich in einem Gesamtzusammenhang eine Bedeutung haben. Die meisten Diagnosen werden im ärztlichen Untersuchungsgespräch (Anamnese) gestellt. Auch jede Behandlung muss auf das Individuum abgestimmt werden.
