MERCURY FILLINGS AND HOW THEY DESTROY YOUR HEALTH!!!
http://www.y2khealthanddetox.com THE HISTORY OF HOW IT HAPPENED Back in 1840, dentists formed the American Society of Dental Surgeons. Their members were required to sign pledges that they would NOT use mercury in the fillings they placed. There were even cases in New York in 1848 where dentists were fined for malpractice for using mercury in their filling material. Mercury was referred to as "quicksilver" in North American and in Europe was called "quacksalver" Therefore a "quack" was someone who pretends to cure disease and "salve" was an application for wounds. The term "quack" was first applied to anyone using mercury to cure skin diseases, e.g. the skin lesions associated with tertiary syphilis. The skin rash would disappear, but the disease went deeper into the organs and the nervous system and the person died a very painful death. The term was then used against dentists using mercury for the same reason, - using a poisonous substance to "cure" or fix decay. Because of the internal feuds, a new dental organization was formed in 1859 – the American Dental Association (ADA). This body did NOT condemn the use of mercury, to the extreme now 140 years later; they try to crucify any dentist who tells his or her patients about the dangers of mercury! Many practitioners believe the ADA actually send undercover personnel into offices of practitioners who dare to speak the truth, to gather information against them and challenge their licenses.

About this booklet
This booklet is written for people with fibromyalgia and their families and friends. It explains how fibromyalgia affects people in different ways, and how doctors diagnose it. We then explain what can be done to help with the symptoms, and offer tips and advice on living with it more easily. Near the end of the booklet you will find information on how to contact the Arthritis Research Campaign ( arc ) and other organisations which can provide information, and a few suggestions for further reading. Terms that appear in italics when they are first used are explained in the glossary at the back of the booklet.
What is fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is a name for widespread pain affecting the muscles but not the joints. It will not cause permanent damage to tissues but the symptoms may last for months or years. There are no outward signs of the condition and people with fibromyalgia often look well but feel awful. Because of this, other people may not appreciate the pain and tiredness you are suffering and this can cause additional distress. Fibromyalgia is a common condition and is sometimes so severe that it affects your work and your personal and social life. In fibromyalgia the

You are NOT crazy. If you have fibromyalgia you are ill. You may have been told that whatever you have seems untreatable. You may have been overmedicated by well-intentioned health care providers who wanted desperately to help you. You may have fallen victim to some of the many folks who are making billions of dollars a year off your desperate search for something, anything, that helps.
We are here to help. We provide educational materials based on a lifetime of work by R. Paul St. Amand, MD, treating fibromyalgia. We raise money to fund legitimate fibromyalgia research. Our mission is to increase knowledge, reduce frustration and most important, to help. Your quality of life is extremely important to us.
We are gratified that the number of people and organizations devoted to helping fibromyalgics has grown enormously. Treatment of fibromyalgia has become a multi-billion dollar industry and we have no objection to profit. However, conflicting information provided by marketers regarding the guaifenesin protocol can be harmful. If, after thorough investigation you and your doctor determine that implementing the guaifenesin protocol is appropriate for you, it is critically important that it be adhered to precisely. Please

Patient Education for Fibromyalgia
What is Fibromyalgia?
• Changes in mood and thinking are common in fibromyalgia. Many individuals feel "blue" or "down," and some people also feel very anxious. Many factors, including emotional and psychological stress, may have a worsening effect on symptoms they already have. Fibromyalgia is linked in some patients to depression; consultation with a mental health worker may be necessary.
What Causes Fibromyalgia?
How is Fibromyalgia Treated?
Medications
Medications that promote deeper sleep and also relax muscles help many people with fibromyalgia. These include amitriptyline (Elavil), doxepin (Sinequan), cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), and related medications. Although these medications are also used to treat depression, in people with fibromyalgia they are generally used in very low doses and only at bedtime. Occasionally, patients may have less pain when taking antidepressant medications such as fluoxetine. Although many people sleep better and have less discomfort when they take these medications, the improvement varies greatly from person to person, and there may be unwanted side effects. Analgesics and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may be used in moderation for pain control. Daily Gentle Aerobic Exercise and Stretching
Both daily gently aerobic exercise and stretching exercises are important. You may be reluctant to exercise if you are already in pain and feel tired. Low- or non-impact aerobic exercises such as brisk walking, biking, swimming, or water aerobics are generally the best way to start an exercise program. Physical therapy may be helpful and could include techniques such as heat, ice, massage, whirlpool, or ultrasound and electrical stimulation.

©Marilyn J. Kerr RN 1997-2002 TEXT
I wish to personally welcome you to this web site. It has been created, with love, for you. When we first get diagnosed (or wonder if we should be diagnosed), I know too well how difficult it is to find information about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (aka CFIDS, M.E.), Lyme, and/or Fibromyalgia Syndrome. There are a myriad of sites that bring you the basics, and I try to present you those basics as well as information slightly beyond. At the moment, there is no cause nor cure. There are no magic bullets. This disease is so complex, no one drug will work. This is not a disease of just your muscles, your immune system, your sleep dysfunction, your hormones, your nutritional deficiencies, your NMH, or your gut; it is a cluster of symptoms that involve every system of your body. Treating it, therefore, involves testing and treating those deficiencies. The controversies surrounding that and the differences in our health contribute to our stress. My new job is to help us sort that all out. Hugs, Marilyn K
