These procedures employed a modification of the alpha/theta neurofeedback procedures previously described by Peniston and Kulkosky (1991). Eleven female subjects meeting DSM-III-R (1987) criteria for DID were provided with 30 sessions of Neurofeedback and 10 group sessions as treatment. Subjects were administered the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II (Millon, 1987) and the Global Assessment of Functioning scale (DSM-III-R, 1987) before and after 30 neurofeedback sessions. One to three years post treatment, subjects completed a Dissociative Experience Scale questionnaire (Bernstein and Putnam 1986) to assess the long term efficacy of treatment.

DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER (DID) Introduction to Articles
The following articles are written with concern and appreciation for those who have the diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder, (DID), formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder.
It is my hope that the more aware of this phenomenon the public and Mental Health colleagues and other professionals are, there will be progess made in the understanding and treatment of it.
I would appreciate, and ask those who would be willing to share either their personal experience or connection with Multiplicity if they would contact me from this site.
It might be thought the inclusion of this website's URL in some of the articles is redundant. I have been asked by a number of people for different articles for educational purposes and printouts. I confess to the lazy man's way of giving further information by simply including the URL of this website.
One note of caution here for any reader who has been diagnosed with DID or who might suspect they are multiple. Some article content might be triggering and it might be good to have support available if needed.

A plea for funding for more research and education of Dissociative Identity Disorder
View Current Signatures Sign the Petition To: SAMHSA U.S. Department of Health and Human Services 'Center for Mental Health Services' We the undersigned survivors of childhood trauma and abuse, our supporters and professional mental and medical healthcare providers hereby make this plea for funding for more research and better education of "Dissociative Identity Disorder" formerly known as "Multiple Personality Disorder."
Dissociative Identity Disorder "DID" is a defense mechanism that is created in childhood. This dissociating is how a young child's mind learns how to block out the torment that we are subjected to, such as mind games, molestation, rape, sodomy, ridicule, verbal attacks, screaming and many more forms of abuse and trauma by our caregivers and perpetrators who are usually dealing with their own mental disorders and conditions.
If a child is forced to rely on this method of survival on a continuous basis, then eventually it becomes the defense mechanism of choice. We live our youth running in fear, and hiding from these care givers and perpetrators on a daily basis and doing what we can to survive, and that is for us "to dissociate."
Eventually if the torture, torment and/or trauma continues then the mind begins to appoint different segments of each memory and event with different names and faces, with their own memories, personalities and characteristics so that no one segment of the mind is overloaded with too much trauma and the child can grow without becoming mentally disabled.

Behavior analytic accounts of Dissociative Identity Disorder, formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder, are rarely presented in detail. This lack of depth may be due to misunderstanding the relevance of the behavior analytic position on personality, abnormality, and related issues. An argument is made here that a behavioral analysis of Dissociative Identity Disorder demystifies these behaviors and that behavior analysts need to communicate to a wider audience by addressing more phenomena of a clinical and popular interest. What is Personality in Behavioral Terms?

A General Survey of Dissociative Identity Disorder ( D.I.D.) Patients [Editor's Note: This article explains the damage inflicted on victims of mind control programs such as the government MK ULTRA program. The satanic ritual abuse is an integral part of the MK ULTRA program ("MK" by the way, is the German abreviation for mind control). The victims are usually drawn from multigenerational mind controlled family abusers (sex, satanic, etc.), military people, CIA employed parents, etc. The personal memories of one such victim, Brice Taylor, is told with stunning clarity and great detail in her book Thanks for the Memories If a large proportion of the American public became informed of these atrocities, they would stop overnight. These perpetrators depend on secrecy, deniability, and the unwillingness of the public to confront these horrific activities.]
