Research highlights
EMSY: a role in breast and ovarian cancer?
BMC Cancer None of the common variants of EMSY, previously considered a cancer predisposition gene, is associated with an increased risk of breast or ovarian cancer in British patients.
Impact of WWOX expression in ovarian cancer
BMC Cancer Expression of the WWOX protein, thought to act as a tumor suppressor, is reduced in a subset of ovarian cancer and lost in mucinous and clear cell cancers. Reduced WWOX expression is associated with lower overall patient survival.
