Computerised selfhelp programs for alcohol abuse and domestic violence, ICQ counselling for agoraphobia.
http://www.netpsych.net.au
If your drinking causes problems
Or if you suffer abuse, even violence, because of someone else's drinking
We can show you how to stop this.

If you have a password you can download a program now. The programs can be used on most computers and are based on rigorous scientific research by several Universities. They have been developed by Logan Elliot, Clinical Psychologist , over the last fifteen years. Click here to learn about these programs. We can also help people who are isolated, by (for instance) agoraphobia or geography, by providing confidential, professional counselling using ICQ
With ICQ you and I can sit at our computers taking turns to type and read so that we can discuss your difficulties and develop practical ways to overcome them. This does not suit everybody or every problem, so the first half hour is free.
Using ICQ means that our discussion is about as confidential as in a face-to-face Clinic. If you are interested or just curious, email me.
Netpsych is not the only personal help website. If we can not give you the sort of help you need then try one of these similar sites.

Dancing with Fear

By Paul Foxman Ph.
Anxiety can often be a horrifying and often debilitating experience. Irrational fear and anxiety can disrupt your daily life, prevent you from doing the things you want, and make it nearly impossible to cope with stress. It robs you of your freedom. Anxiety conditions are the number one mental health problem we face in this country today. Many people think they might be mentally ill, or that it is just their problem, or that they should be able to just snap out of it. Many also find themselves enduring shame and embarrassment as they try to hide their symptoms from friends and co-workers. If this sounds like you, rest assured, you're not alone. One out of 4 Americans will suffer from an anxiety condition at some time in their lives. You probably feel anxious most of the time, without any apparent reason. Or, certain events provoke fearful feelings. If this is the case with you, it is a good time to get help. You need CHAANGE! It is never too late to begin anew, and live a normal, happy life free of debilitating anxiety.

Welcome to Sincerely Yours Pages. the word sincere is a beautiful word and if we could live it's meaning throughout all of our lives, in things we do, conversation and feelings etc. it would be really nice . It's great to unite with others from all over the world, not only to virtually meet people from all nations, but how lovely to have a virtual home right here too.
Home in mind, this little space is meant to be welcoming and relaxing...So relax and make yourself at home:)
I really enjoy visiting other Christians sites and personal home pages. Its like travelling from here in England without the aeroplane ride to all over:)
We may not actually get to see the people we make friends with on the Internet, but in other ways we share more.
Its like you get to see the real person more than if we did meet person to person. Sharing heart to heart. You can also visit the other pages by clicking on this drop down menu, choosing the page you wish to visit then click the grey 'Take me there!' button.

http://www.geocities.com/Krabenau/
Next month (October) this website will have been in existence for two years. It has been such a wonderful part of my life. Creating it has been healing and fun. It has brought some wonderful people into my life. And much to my joy and delight, it has touched the hearts and lives of a few people. I hope that it will continue to do so and I hope that those who read these pages get as much pleasure and healing from reading and exploring them as I have gotten in the process of creating them. Thank you so much for visiting. If you have the time and the inclination, please stop and sign my guestbook. I just LOVE getting signatures in my guestbook. I used to have an annoying little pop-up inviting signatures. I've taken it down and if people humor me and sign my book, I promise never to put it back. December 1st 2001 update: Ravenlea's Miraculous Adventure is in full swing and off to a good start. I had a wonderful trip east with my amazing friend Lorraine. My new apartment still needs some work and so do I, but the view from my window (as you will see - check out the sunrise page) is about as perfect as they come.
Reiki
Reiki is awesome, wonderful, magical and a central part of my life and being. It is a form of energetic healing touch. I believe that all of us have an inherent ability to channel healing energy through our touch, Reiki is simply a specialized system for doing so. Reiki energy can be offered either in person or long distance (aka absent or remote healing). Animals love Reiki and are particularly responsive to long distance healing. I have created a separate site for my reiki information which you can access through this link.

What is agoraphobia?

Agoraphobia is the fear of being in a situation where one might experience anxiety or panic and where escape from the situation might be difficult or embarrassing. People with agoraphobia may feel anxious about such things as loss of bladder or bowel control or choking on food in the presence of others. They also might feel anxious about being home alone, leaving home, or being in a crowded place, such as on public transportation or in an elevator, where it might be difficult or embarrassing to find a way out. To avoid the anxiety associated with these situations they refrain from putting themselves into such situations. The severity of agoraphobia is quite variable. Some people with agoraphobia live essentially normal lives as they avoid potentially anxiety-provoking situations. However, in severe cases of agoraphobia, people are homebound. These people work very hard to avoid any and all situations that might cause them to become anxious.
What characteristics are associated with agoraphobia?
