Bax was born in Pendennis Road, Streatham London , into a Victorian upper-middle-class family of Dutch descent. He grew up in Ivy Back, a mansion on top of Haverstock Hill, Hampstead where he attended Heath Mount School . In Bax, A Composer and His Times (2007) Lewis Foreman suggests that, because of the family affluence, Bax never had to take a paid position and was free to pursue most of his interests. From an early age, Bax showed that he had a powerful intellect and great musical talent, especially at the keyboard. He often enjoyed playing the Wagner operas on piano. One of his first intimate meetings with art music was through

    Trevor Immelman Swing Vision (video)
Considering Trevor Immelman just won the Nedbank Golf Challenge it is a very appropriate time to have a look at his swing vision. He really has a great swing and as the commentator says - watch how much he turns and rotates his body through the shot, it is quite amazing.I must admit I have become a bit of an addict of swing vision as they can really give you some great insight into what makes a great gold swing. I hope to bring many more in the future - feel free to suggest a swing vision you would like to see by leaving a comment.

Arnold Edward Trevor Bax

Where did the English Bax family come from? What is the English coat of arms/family crest? When did the Bax family first arrive in the United States? Where did the various branches of the family go? What is the history of the family name?
Sound was what guided spelling in the essentially pre-literate Middle Ages, so one person's name was often recorded under several variations during a single lifetime. Also, before the advent of the printing press and the first dictionaries, the English language was not standardized. Therefore, spelling variations were common, even among the names of the most literate people. Known variations of the Bax family name include Back, Backe, Bace, Bac, Bak, Bache and others. First found in Somerset, where they were seated before the Norman Conquest of 1066.
