    SEPTEMBER 13 CLUB MEETING
    Mr. Clark Lucas, an expert fly tyer and steelhead fisherman from New Meadows will be our featured guest at our upcoming club meeting on September13. Clark will present a program on steelhead fishing at various destination rivers in the northwest. He will discuss fly patterns, line selection and fishing techniques that make him well respected among anglers in the region. Please bring a friend to the meeting! Fly tying begins at 6:30 pm and the program is at 7:30 pm. SALMON AND STEELHEAD DAYS SEPTEMBER 7 - 9 The 9 th Annual Salmon and Steelhead Days will be held on September 7 through 9 at the Nature Center behind the Idaho Fish and Game headquarters office at 600 S. Walnut Street in Boise. Our club has been a contributor for many years. This outstanding program targets 5th grade students from area schools. About 2,000 energetic youngsters learn important information about salmon and steelhead. Activities this year include student participation in 6 modules: Gyotaku (Japanese Fish Printing) Kids in the Creek (water quality and aquatic insect identification) Salmon Maze (salmon life history) Ecology (food web and nutrient cycle) Salmon and Our History (relationship between salmon and humans, includes Native American cultural information)
