Wyoming Conference Walk to Emmaus / Chrysalis Community WELCOME! We sponsor Emmaus Walks and Chrysalis Flights within the Wyoming Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. The Wyoming Conference is located in the central southern tier of New York State and the northeastern tier of Pennsylvannia. It encompasses the Oneonta and Binghamton Districts in New York State and the Scranton and Wilkes-Barre Districts in Pensylvannia. HISTORY The first Walk to Emmaus in the Wyoming Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church occurred in the spring of 1988 with the assistance of the Nashville Tennessee Community under the auspices of The Upper Room. Since then the Wyoming Emmaus Chrysalis Community has sponsored over 60 Walks for both men and women and 25 Flights for youth has grown to a community of over 1,200 persons. The walk is designed to be ecumenical in nature.
