Who We Are The Parent Education Network is a statewide project that serves the families of all children. We provide parents of infants, toddlers, and school age children with information to help them influence positively the social, emotional, and academic growth of their children.

History The Parent Education Network (PEN) began as a parent training and information project proposed by the statewide parents organization, Parents Helping Parents of Wyoming, Inc. (PHP). PHP began as a coalition of families with children who have disabilities and has expanded to include all children.   • Support your family at Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings. Provide information and support on disability issues.
  • NOWCAP: Northwest Community Action Programs is a non-profit organization that has been serving families in Wyoming for the last thirty years. They provide the Parents as Teachers (PAT) component of the Parent Education Network for parents of children, birth through age five. PAT is a voluntary family education support program that begins prenatal and extends through age 5. The program is based on the beliefs that parents are their children's first and most influential teachers. PAT recognizes your family's strengths and that you are the expert on your child. Developmental activities are offered that encourage language development, intellectual growth, social development and motor skills.
