Academic Development is the place to go at Carnegie Mellon for help with academic work. They offer everything from study skills instruction in areas such as textbook reading and time management to tutoring (both walk-in and by appointment) and review sessions in selected courses. Their services are designed to help both students who are having academic difficulties and those who just want to improve their skills. Career Center
The Career Center provides career development programs and placement services to meet the changing needs of society and the student and alumni goals of finding satisfying work. The Career Center has college-specific counseling: all students from a particular college work with one or more counselors who know the companies looking to hire those students and the kinds of jobs students are looking for. In addition to career counseling, other services offered include campus employment, resume reviews, mock interviews and on-campus recruiting, which brings hundreds of recruiters to Carnegie Mellon to interview students for professional openings and summer internships.
