By focusing on education, age appropriate themes and prevention activities, it is our goal to provide youth in grades 5th, 7th and 9th with positive experiences that allow them to make better choices and experience success. Our drug and alcohol message is communicated through grade specific themes which encompass Leadership, Team Building, Communication, Choices and Success. The three-phases of our Drug Demand Reduction Program along with National Guard facilitators are provided at no cost to organizations. As of 1 October 2004, our Drug Demand Reduction Youth Programs have been changed. Effective that date we have transitioned to the three-phased approach as follows: Phase 1 will focus on 5 th grade youth with our “Ropes in a Bag” concept.
