Resources
The Southern Institute on Children and Families is an independent, non-profit, public policy organization founded in 1990.
The Southern Institute endeavors to improve opportunities for children and families in the South, with a focus on disadvantaged children. It works to encourage public/private sector collaboration on behalf of children and families and seeks to remove bureaucratic and other barriers that restrict access to needed services. The Southern Institute is funded through grants and contributions.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
was established as a national philanthropy in 1972 and today it is the largest US foundation devoted to improving the health and health care of all Americans. RWJF concentrates its grantmaking in four areas:
