Ghana Feedback
"The school is great, I'm feeling Western guilt daily, coming from schools whining about not having IT labs, to here, where the kids don't all have chairs, or pencils. I can't believe how much trust they've put in my teaching ability, I hardly feel inspirational."
Laura
"I was a Reading Comprehension Teacher at Rapid Academy International School in Kumasi. I loved teaching. The students loved learning and were very responsive to me and my lessons."
Stacy
"GVN kept in contact during and after my placement and getting contact information for other volunteers who would be in Ghana at the same time as me was nice because we were able to arrange visits and discuss our experiences with one another."

The vast continent of South America holds an almost infinite range of opportunities for anyone who wants to share their native English. From the specialized training for the business communities of Santiago and Brasilia to the informal conversation exchanges with Mexican fishermen and Venezuelan waiters, the English language provides a link between visitors and residents. In the big cities the greatest demand for English comes from the business community. And because of the strong commercial links between the two American continents, the demand tends to be for American English. Why Teach?
Ecuador has an English language requirement for schools, but not enough teachers. This is particularly evident in more out of the way places: jungle locations, poor villages, etc. Where Can I Teach?
We can place you throughout Ecuador: the capital city, the tropical coastal lowlands, the Amazon jungle, the Galapagos Islands Galapagos
Live with an Ecuadorean family while you teach English in one of the world's truly unique environments. Whether elementary school or high school, there is an enthusiastic audience waiting for you. Unique wildlife, topography, and a small-town feel await you. See our Galapagos photo page. Click Here What's the length of the placement?
You can go for as short as one month, or you can stay as long as six months. Do I need to speak Spanish?
You should speak some Spanish. A good phrase book will help you find the right bus, order in restaurants, and satisfy other basic needs. Contact Us: info@ELIAbroad.com
