The next Year of the Snake on the Chinese calendar is not scheduled until 2001. In automotive materials, however, at least one snake is ahead of its time.
Chrysler Corp.'s new high-powered V-10 Dodge Viper slinks to the forefront of new materials applications for '92. For those bitten by the sporty 2-seater, it should be noted that the car's venom includes a high-tech mixture of steel, aluminum, magnesium and carbon fibers.
It alo marks the third straight year that a plastic-bodied vehicle has stolen the materials spotlight. In 1990, General Motors Corp. took the center stage with its APV minivan, and last year GM scored again with its plastic-skinned new Saturn Corp. vehicles.
Although Viper is a materials showcase, its impact will be tiny because of the extremely limited production planned for 1992: About 5,000 units.

Luke 3:7-14
Exposition
"Eight Palestinian Viper Snakes in Nazareth home," blares the headline from IsraelWire for August 6, 1999. It turns out that a Nazareth family, after spreading the insecticide in the home, called the snake catcher after seeing numerous snakes coming out of the rooms. The snake catcher caught eight venomous Palestinian Vipers before he left.[1] Scroll back in Palestine nearly 2,000 years and we hear John the Baptist railing at his audience as a "brood of vipers." Why?
Brood of Vipers (3:7)
Over night John the Baptist had become a celebrity. In my imagination I see crowds of gawkers hoping to see something spectacular. John looks at the faces in the crowd and sees the snide remarks, the haughty expressions of the religious elite come to hear the desert preacher. Why have you come if you're not serious? John wonders, and then calls out in anger. "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?" The word "viper" is Greek echidna , " 'viper,' usually a poisonous snake,"[2]. But what is a "brood of vipers"? The word translated "brood" (NIV) or "generation" (KJV) is Greek

The Bush Viper uses its prehensile tail in a coil-like fashion, similar to an arboreal mammal, the Kinkajou This species ranges through equatorial Africa including the Congo Basin, a unique ecosystem covering over one million square miles of rich tropical rainforest, second in size only to the Rainforest of the Amazon Basin. The Bush Viper makes it homes in the same territory as the wild African Lions , Bongos, Cheetahs African Golden Cats , Mountain Gorillas, Lowland Gorillas and the great African Elephants, the sole survivors of the family of trunk-bearing mammals. These wild elephants are directly descended from the now extinct Mastodons and prehistoric Wooly Mammoths that once ranged the entire planet. Very little is known about the venom composition of the Bush Viper with no specific Antivenom and medical professionals are usually advised to administer a polyvalent inoculation.
