This section of the U.S. Embassy website contains links to a broad range of information about the United States, and should be particularly useful for school students and teachers in Norway who are learning and teaching about the United States. If you don't find the information you need below or in the list of topics on the left, use the search engine above to search the entire Embassy Oslo website. The Embassy has consulted with The Norwegian Board of Education Teachers should be aware of the Fulbright Roving Scholar program, which sponsors American Studies seminars at elementary and upper secondary schools in Norway. They should also know that there is an essential organization created expressly for teachers/scholars of American Studies in Norway: ASANOR the American Studies Association of Norway. There is also an association for students of North American studies in Norway called the Americanist: its Board of Editors publishes the online quarterly The Americanist , and organizes debates, symposiums, and social events.
