    z Basic Craps
In casino craps, the players place their bets and the casino bank "covers" them. In addition to covering every player's bet, the casino-banked craps game offers many other types of proposition bets. These bets, along with the basic "pass" and "don't pass" bets, will be explained.
There are four people actively running the game. The boxman, who sits behind the middle of the table, is the boss. He keeps a constant watch over the game. The two dealers on each side of him pay off the winners and "rake" in the losers' chips. Each dealer handles all the players on his side. The table is divided by the center box of proposition bets and also by the stickman, who stands on the players' side of the table.

    March 4, 2003
AS DELIVERED ( http://alexander.senate.gov/news/f-20030304.cfm Mr. President, from the Senate’s earliest days, new members have observed as we just heard a ritual of remaining silent during floor debates for a period of time that ranged from several weeks to two years. By waiting a respectful amount of time before giving their so-called "maiden speeches," freshman senators hoped their senior colleagues would respect them for their humility. This information comes from the Senate historian, Richard Baker, who told me that in 1906, the former Governor of Wisconsin, Robert LaFollette, arrived here "anything but humble" (and I’m sensitive to this as a former governor). He waited just three months, a brief period by the standards of those days, before launching his first major address. He spoke for eight hours over three days; his remarks in the Congressional Record consumed 148 pages. As he began to speak, most of the senators present in the chamber pointedly rose from their desks and departed. LaFollete’s wife, observing from the gallery, wrote, "There was no mistaking that this was a polite form of hazing."

The question is, are these clumps just disturbances in the ring structure caused by interactions with larger moons nearby such as Prometheus, or are they moons in their own right? Just after the smash, a bright vapour plume spewed from the surface at about 5 kilometres per second, followed quickly by a stream of particles that spread into a cone.

    Introduction
As part of its review of history doctoral programs, the Committee on Graduate Education At this preliminary stage, the site primarily provides information supplied annually to the Directory of History Departments and Organizations and a staff review of the information currently available on departmental web sites. The objective is to provide a starting point for prospective doctoral candidates seeking Ph.D. programs to which they might apply. A further audience for the website is practicing members of the history profession, since it also provides in a systematic way of showing how information can be drawn upon the management of doctoral programs at the various Ph.D.-granting departments. An opportunity to review the status and progress of doctoral programs gives a sense of the level of organization and rate of advance of historical studies generally. In 2004 this site will focus on links to departments, but in subsequent years we hope to expand the site to provide comparative data on the fields, processes, and outcomes of Ph.D. programs. Evaluation of the initial website will take place in early 2005, drawing on advice and comments from applicants, departments, and the AHA. The template will then be adjusted, and all doctoral programs will then be requested to submit additional information. It is planned that, in October 2005, an expanded AHA site will provide equivalent information on all history PhD programs in the U.S. and Canada. The website should enable users to compare any two programs in detail, and to search the site for particular characteristics.
