He later received his undergraduate degree from Boston University and his master and doctorate degrees in business administration from American University in Washington. As dean of the business school in Sharjah, he has interviewed over 200 candidates for faculty positions.  He says he can quickly spot professors who received their training in the United States, because they share distinctive qualities.
