    Crc Undemocratic Beliefs Exposed
ZAMBIA, Sep. 24 - I feel disappointed, hurt, tormented by the CRC's retrogressive analysis over the removal of the declaration of Zambia as a Christian Nation from the preamble of the zambian constitution.
The entire CRC lacks any form integrity in them by dropping the clause. The declaration is our covering for our future and must be respected at all costs. It is for our children and the coming generation after we depart to the place of the Dead if Jesus tarries. The majority of people against the declaration do not have children. They are only involved in illicit deals.
We will not accept the manifestation of gay Bishops in Churches because of people ho do not have the heart for Zambia. I am not a racists but people like father Peter Henriot and the former Priest of Buchi dioceses Simon kabanda can not speak on spiritual things since they do not have a standing testimony.

Fijian Culture Guide
Fijian culture is very rich in traditional beliefs and many aspects of life today are as they were a hundred years ago. Fijians live within a strict hierarchical system with the village chiefs receiving the respect of all. Fijian chiefs are hereditary titles, mostly through the male lineage, and the ranking of chiefs throughout the country is ordered into a strict hierarchical system of mataqalis vanuas and yavusas (clans and sub clans). This intense social makeup has caused a number of bitter disputes in the past and is an underlying issue in modern day politics. If you're not a chief you're referred to as a commoner and your powers are limited.
Fijians claim descendency to the yavusas and are granted village land to build a house and farm a small plantation. Land can be sub-leased (mostly to Indian sugar cane farmers, industries and tourist resorts) under the discretion of the village elders and the money used for village improvements, schools and social functions like weddings and funerals. Fund raising is an important part of the communal lifestyle of the village environment and many villages have communal land for growing yaqona and root crops to be used for village functions.
Yaqona
Yaqona is the traditional drink of Fiji and serves as a ceremonial and social mediator between parties. Yaqona ceremonies are performed at all social and cultural events from village fund-raising to Weddings. Participants sit in a circle on the floor facing the tanoa, a large hand-carved wooden bowl used for mixing the drink. Participants drink the brown liquid from a small half coconut shell of mixed Yaqona, one at a time, amidst chanting and hand-clapping. The taste is quite unusual to the western palette and leaves a slight numbing effect on the tongue. Drunk in volume, Yaqona causes lethargy and a slight loss of co-ordination, or, as the Fijians like to put it, relaxation. Guests are also welcomed to a village through the Yaqona ceremony and many resorts hold nightly sessions. This is a great way to get to know the people. Organized day tours to a village should include the yaqona ceremony.

Tonga Culture
Tongan culture and its political spin-off is one of the most complex and traditional in the region. The Tongans once ruled much of Polynesia and since the European invasion during the 18th century, Tonga retained its powerful monarchy. However, Christian religion was quickly adopted and today Tongans are amongst the most stout believers on earth. Sunday is an absolute strict day of rest when only policemen may work to ensure its observance.
The Tui Tonga, the hereditary king of Tonga, rules the Kingdom with absolute power. Tongan culture retains a strong divide between the royal families and the commoners and even today common people must use a special dialect when addressing someone of royal status. Much has been criticized of the system, particularly by folks who have moved abroad to free themselves of the incestuous restrictions in commerce.
That saying, Tongans are proud people and outwardly amongst the happiest and friendliest of the South Pacific peoples. Women here have more freedom and status than anywhere else in the South Pacific.
Tongans live in close knit communities, usually with large extended families where second and even third cousins are considered close relatives. It is unusual to find a Tongan house isolated from its neighbours or with a fence around its garden. Feasting is regarded with great importance and the larger in size a person, the greater his or her status. Pigs are also reveered as important symbols of society and dare one by killed by accident, the culprit is sought out and revenged by either beating or hefty penalty. When the King grew too obese and was encouraged by his doctor to go on a diet, the nation showed its respect and dieted with him.

http://www.mnsu.edu/emuseum/cultural/oldworld/pacific/tonganculture.html
Tongan Culture
Tonga is located in the beautiful waters of the South Pacific. It is set between New Zealand and Australia. Like all other cultures, the cultural identity of the Tongan is constructed and reconstructed. Tradition and culture is invented and reinvented in response to the different yet continuous encounters with other cultures. Migrants do not build their own ethnic identity from scratch; they bring in their own version of it. It then evolves to fit their new home. As is such the case in the Tongan culture. Many migrants, coming in and leaving, bring or leave their ideas of culture. So there is not really a set culture in Tonga, but a variety. There is still the influence of the old ways or Anga Fakatonga. Anga Fakatonga is a fluid, manipulable, yet powerful concept. It is translated to mean culture or tradition. It is said to hold all that is Tongan in values and behavior. The main points of Anga Fakatonga that have stayed strong throughout the generations are song, dance, gender roles and the most central point is respect. Although Anga Fakatonga is still present, the daily life of the Tongans revolves primarily around church. There are both morning and afternoon services on Sundays, both lasting up to two hours. There is a break between the services. Food and beverages are supplied and the people have a time to socialize. There is also a service on Wednesday along with bible study and choir practice. On Fridays, there is a youth group for the adolescents. The church is not simply a place for worship but a place for social interactions. Migrant and natives come together to discuss the Tongan Way.

TONGA TRAVEL GUIDE
The ancient Kingdom of Tonga, oldest and last remaining Polynesian monarchy, is the only Pacific island nation never brought under foreign rule. Though sprinkled over 700,000 square km of ocean from Niuafo'ou, between Fiji and Samoa, to the Minerva Reef 290 km southwest of Ata, the total land area of the kingdom is only 691 square km. Tonga is divided into four main parts: the Tongatapu Group in the south, with the capital, Nukualofa; the Ha'apai Group, a far-flung archipelago of low coral islands and soaring volcanoes in the center; the Vava'u Group, with its immense landlocked harbor; and in the north, the isolated, volcanic Niuas. The four island groups are pleasingly diverse travel destinations, each with resorts and hotels, and interesting aspects to enjoy: no other Pacific country is made up of components as scenically varied as these. More than 100 km of open sea separate Tongatapu and Ha'apai, then another 100 between Ha'apai and Vava'u, then it's another 300 km north to remote Niuafo'ou and Niuatoputapu. In all, Tonga comprises 170 islands, 42 of them inhabited. Even though they're some of the most densely populated in the Pacific, the Tongan islands are set quite apart from the 21st century. Due to the position just west of the international date line, the Tonga Visitors Bureau uses the marketing slogan "where time begins," but they could just as well use "where time stands still."

Send me a Brochure Tripbuilder (Shopping Cart) Send me a Quotation ... Pacific News member of Tonga Culture Dance in Tonga has traditionally been an important art form, turning oral histories and folk tales into a visual form praising and honouring gods, chiefs, places and people. Weaving with the leaves of the pandanus palm is at its zenith as an art form in Tonga, and baskets and intricately worked mats produced by a variety of means are among the most beautiful in the Pacific. A reasonable body of literature has been produced in or about the archipelago in spite of its tiny size, and some of it goes beyond oral histories and folk tales. The earliest accounts are by castaway Will Mariner and Captain Bligh after he lost command of his ship. There are also several more recent collections of poetry and prose by contemporary writers. Tongan food is delightful, and consists mostly of root vegetables such as taro and sweet potato, coconut products, fresh fruit, roasted suckling pig, chicken, corned beef, fish and shellfish. The delicious dishes made from these ingredients are an excuse in themselves to visit the islands. The traditional Tongan feast gets cooked in an underground oven, umu , common throughout Polynesia. The most refreshing drink available is coconut juice, and the locally grown Royal Coffee is excellent if you're after a caffeine hit. Beer is popular, and of course kava (

The Samoan way of life, Fa'a Samoa, is unique in the Pacific and a tradition that is proudly upheld by the people. It's a way of life that that binds the community together, yet welcomes strangers in its midst. Thanks to Fa'a Samoa, Samoans live in open houses, yet the crime rate is one of the lowest in the world.

The Samoan people cling tightly to their traditions in the face of increasing modernisation: their tattooing, their oratory, their singing and dancing, their legends, their kava, their fa'a Samoa are vitally important to them.
It is not unusual for men and women alike to be heavily tattooed in traditional patterns with boar teeth needles dipped in soot-based ink. Tattooing is done from breast to knee, where it is not usually seen by the public.
The special matai language, spoken only by selected people, is kept for oratory and ceremonial occasions and is considered an art.
