http://www.music.umich.edu/departments/mustheatre/prod_opps.htm
PRODUCTION OPPORTUNITIES What performance opportunities are available? Michigan offers extraordinary performance outlets. Revues, Broadway musicals, operettas, new and experimental works — all of these are part of the daily life of a Musical Theatre student. Productions presented by the Department have ranged from a lavish revue saluting the music of Broadway composer Cy Coleman (SWEET CHARITY, CITY OF ANGELS, THE LIFE) to the world premiere of a musical by Sheldon Harnick (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) and Joe Raposo entitled A WONDERFUL LIFE, based on the popular Jimmy Stewart film. The Department presented the first revival since Broadway of the legendary Kurt Weill/Alan Jay Lerner 1948 musical, LOVE LIFE. Other shows have included A CHORUS LINE(directed by Tim Millett, who played Zach on Broadway), 42nd STREET (directed by Debra Ann Draper, who was the dance captain for the Broadway production), SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, PARADE, and CITY OF ANGELS. Another production, QUILT, inspired by stories connected with the AIDS memorial quilt, has music composed by UM graduate Michael Stockler. Department students also participated in a staged reading on campus of the new musical SUMMER OF '42, written by two School of Music graduates, David Kirshenbaum and Hunter Foster.
In addition, Musical Theatre majors often participate in MUSKET shows (student-produced musicals), Gilbert and Sullivan Society operettas, faculty-directed plays, and productions by the Ann Arbor Civic Theatre as well as the Michigan Opera Theatre. The University is also affiliated with the Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, Michigan, founded by actor Jeff Daniels.

How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying - Festival Theatre
A vivacious satire on sharp-practice and ruthless ambition in the world of big business from the writer and composer of Guys and Dolls. This is one of the funniest musicals ever written. With the aid of his bible, 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying', J. Pierrepont Finch rises irresistibly from window-cleaner to Chairman of the Board at World Wide Wickets, breaking hearts and stabbing backs along the way.
    King Lear - Minerva Theatre
Fathers grow old, children grow up, regimes change. When the ageing Lear sets out to test the affection of his daughters he unleashes a storm that threatens the entire nation. Goodness and compassion are cast into the wilderness and malice takes up the reins of power. All must face the stark choice: tell the truth and risk destruction or dissemble and hope to survive.
Scapino or the Trickster - Festival Theatre
Two young men have each found the love of their life. Unfortunately their fathers have other ideas. So the boys turn for help to Scapino, king of con men. But the old men's obstinacy tests Scapino's ingenuity to breaking point and he is driven to evermore elaborate and ludicrous schemes to ensure that love will win the day. Written at the height of Molière's powers, this farce is a master-class in comic construction. He conceived the role of Scapino for himself - the tricksters' trickster on his last great adventure.

Welcome to the Rondo!
Welcome to the best season yet at the country's best small theatre! The Rondo opens its doors after a summer face-lift! The auditorium has been re-carpeted, re-painted and re-plastered as we strive to improve the building for your enjoyment. And we bring you a host of magical performances for the Autumn and Winter nights! To take the development of the theatre forward, we are launching a major fundraising drive. We hope to attract 40 people to sponsor the remaining undesignated seats in the auditorium. This will allow us to refurbish all the seats and continue with a lengthy list of essential improvements. Along with all other Arts organisations in the area, the next three years will see our BNES grant reduced. Therefore we are working harder than ever to make the Rondo the best place to spend an evening so that we improve our finances. We are committed to increasing the already healthy attendance at our events, and with audiences averaging as high as 80% for many shows, we feel this is possible. The Rondo is now one of the most highly regarded small theatres in the country. This has enabled us to create the busiest season we have ever had, with some of the very best performances around - excellent touring theatre, some very accomplished amateur companies and the start of a dynamic new music programme. In addition, The Rondo Music and Concert Club continues to provide excellent afternoons of entertainment for our older audience.

160. Teatro Dei PUPI SICILIANI Dei Fratelli Pasqualino
History, productions and information about traditional Sicilian marionette theatre performed by the touring Pasqualino Brothers.
http://PupiSiciliani.com/
