Please please will somone from scifi.com please respond to this post? Why are you not updating SET anymore since Neil Gaiman's story? I have emailed you guys to no avail. Is anyone even there anymore from SET or did everyone get laid off. There is a HUGE demand out there for media such as SET and its a crying SHAME that you are not responding to it. As a result we are all forced to go off this site and look for things elsewhere. Now im sure that the heads of scifi.com do not want to force their audience away like that. PLease PLease tell us what is going on with this ...even if the series has been cancelled. Reply Title Created by Beginning Text

Welcome to the Michigan Theatre located in Jackson, Michigan
The Michigan Theatre, the last and largest theatre built in downtown Jackson, opened April 30, 1930. It was built for the mainstream popular entertainment of the day vaudeville and movies. For just pennies, the public was treated like royalty as it passed under a glittering marquee into a Hollywood fantasyland. The building's exotic Spanish style, lavish interior plasterwork, ornate polychrome terra cotta facade, carved walnut furniture, plush wool carpeting, heavy damask draperies, stained glass light fixtures, and oil paintings entertained the patrons as much as the attractions on the stage and screens. It was the first air conditioned building in downtown Jackson and offered a place to escape the summer heat.
Many of our Jackson residents remember seeing their first movie in this theatre. Entering through the massive doors and gliding up the incline to the theatre lobby, smelling the concession stand, and seeing the vast interior of the theatre transport one back through time to a familiar, comfortable place in history. We are constantly seeking volunteers to assist in the renovation of this Jackson Icon and hope you enjoy visiting us often.
The Michigan, unlike many older theatres, escaped severe alterations as styles and the movie business changed over the years. Early on, the interior was partially repainted in a darker color scheme, carpet was changed, the marquee was changed to a modern, streamlined style, and a candy counter was added. Its original owners, Butterfield Theatres, maintained it well until it ceased operation in 1978. Since then, it has deteriorated to its current state.

Ending the year will be A Christmas Carol on December 16-18th.The first read through of the script will be on Thursday, Sept 8th at 6:00 P.M. at the Fort Atkinson Methodist Church. The Musical Revue has been postponed because of the lack of a director. There was interest from performers on doing a revue of previous FACT shows, so we hope to stage this at a later date. Places are available for anyone interested in serving on the FACT board for the 2005-2006 season. Please contact any current board member
What is FACT
Fort Atkinson Community Theatre, Inc. (FACT) began as a group of individuals who gathered in the summer of 1962 to form a community theatre group. Prior to that time, theatre pieces were presented by church groups and others, but not as an organized body. About 25 people attended the first meeting and in November of that year the Fort Atkinson Community Theatre presented the play Harvey.
