Welcome Folks!
Movie career, Rondo Hatton, genealogy, costumery, posters, we've got it all! Thanks for droppping by. If you're looking for bells and whistles, though, this is not your site. Latest News Flashes: Just finished a new DVD that's available at Videos For Sale . It's a fun look at the wacky fans and goings on at the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 30th Reunion show at the Cinema Wasteland Convention (cinemawasteland.com) including cast interviews. Also, we're now offering several never seen or seldom seen 8x10 B/W stills from TCM and other films . Check them out at Photos For Sale As the index shows, I've done a lot of different things through the years with differing amounts of fame and/or infamy. I never did figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up, so it's too late for suggestions now. Most everyone knows the film stuff, but some only know me from the realm of genealogy. Being the world's authority on Rondo Hatton has drawn attention as has the illusional costumery. Even though it's been a few years, the posters keep popping up in retrospectives. Really old-timers will remember the journalism days of or even further back to the Texas Ranger For the snickering twelve-year old in each of us, there are the naughty bits from various efforts. And let us not forget my big hit record, "She's Got Colonel Sanders Thighs."

Hello!! We are the Hunts of Hardin County Texas, and we are trying to find information on my great great grandfather William M. Hunt whom we believe was born in Missouri Abt 1847. He died abt 1902-1903 in Thurber Texas, a small ghost town now, but was a boom town in the early 1900's. He was married to Mary Susan Stephens and they had four children together. William already had one son named Tommie Hunt. The names of all of the other children are listed in the Family Tree. Some of the names that are in our Family Tree may link up to yours and some of your names may link up to mine, so look away. If you have any info on our family, please feel free to contact us. Thanks for any Information that you can give. Thanks! Jerry Hunt

We're sad to report that Steve's dad, Oran L. Hendricks, passed away on Saturday, February 5th 2005. His funeral was on Monday, February 7th. The services and military honors were fitting tributes to a kind, intelligent and energetic family man, husband and role model. His death has been hard on the family and especially difficult for Oran's wife of 57 years, Lilla Lee. She needs your prayers and thoughts at this time. His biography and a nice movie chronicling his long and varied life have been posted on a website by the Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Click here to view them.

The origins of Tamaulipas begin with the province of Nuevo Santander which was officially named and became a part of New Spain in 1746. The territory spanned from the San Antonio river to the north east to the Gulf of Mexico, then south to the Panuco River near Tampico and west to the Sierra Madre Mountains. A member of the volunteer TXGenWeb Project, I will be your guide for locating genealogical information in Menard County, Texas. If you have questions about the website, you can contact me at the email address at the bottom of each page. Special Notice To Visitors I am re-working the Menard County, Texas website in the hope that it will be easier for me to keep up with....... and for you to navigate. Please bear with me until I get everything situated. WHAT'S NEW TO THIS SITE?
Menard History
James and Rezin Bowie reportedly came to the area in the early 1830's looking for a silver mine that they believed the Spanish worked. Even though they were unsuccessful, the legend of the lost "San Saba" or "Bowie" Mine still entices modern day treasureseekers. ( more on Bowie Menard was part of the Fisher-Miller Land Grant in the early 1840's, but very few people settled this far. Though the county was formed from Bexar County by the state legislature in 1858, the threat of Indian attacks delayed new settlement and caused many established residents to leave. In 1866, the remaining residents failed to form a new governent and it wasn't until 1871 that Menard finally elected their own officials and "Menardville" was named the county seat.
