Although this law deals with Charter Schools, it also includes a "Transition to Teaching" mandate to facilitate the transition into the teaching profession of competent professionals in fields other than teaching. Each accredited college and university in Indiana that offers teacher education programs is mandated to establish a course of study that constitutes the higher education component of the program.
