The PTO funds the Cultural Arts events throughout the year, as well as aiding the Literacy program. Financial support is also given to the teachers and staff to purchase educational items for the classrooms. A new playground was installed in April 2001 by parent volunteers and funded by PTO and generous donations. In 2000, In 2001, S ponsor the DARE program for 5th grade. Spring 2002, supported the 5th grade field trip to Challenger Learning Center. The teamwork at Neubert is incredible! Communication PTO Newsletters are published monthly with information on upcoming events. Each PTO is comprised of parents and teachers who work closely together to provide educational and social enrichment and to promote understanding and cooperation among the home, school and community. PTO members give countless hours to the schools. Some of this time is spent in the schools in activities such as assisting in the media center, being a class parent, conducting Great Books discussions, or serving special lunches. Members of the PTO's also arrange fundraisers such as Food For Thought, Gift Wrap Sales, Plant Sales, Holiday Stores, and Roller Skating Parties. Participation in events such as these can be both enjoyable and rewarding to parent and child. As a result of these activities, the PTO's were able to donate to the schools well over $150,000 in gifts.
