  • Rainforests Forever! curriculum packet
  • Rainforests Forever! is a curriculum supplement for grades 3-6, designed to be used in conjunction with other environmental or rainforest-related lesson plans. Rainforests Forever! is an interdisciplinary unit that introduces wood-use reduction, oil-use reduction and beef consumption reduction as easy and important ways to help save the rainforests. With logging, oil drilling and cattle ranching being the three main causes of rainforest destruction, it is critical that students understand the connection between the products they consume and rainforest loss. Rainforests Forever! explores this connection and empowers students with simple actions they can take to reduce wood, oil and beef consumption in their daily lives.
