University of Evansville Receives $15 Million from Lilly Endowment to Provide Educational Experiences with Global Perspectives
The University of Evansville has received a $15 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to enable the University to enhance its educational goals through development of an Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana. The Institute will enable the University to integrate the liberal arts with its business and professional programs through development of experiential education initiatives. UE President Stephen G. Jennings made the announcement December 3, 2003 during a news conference at the university. Through programming enrichment, the Institute will ensure that UE students graduate with an integrated understanding of the global culture of greater interconnectedness and interdependence in which the world now operates, he noted. It will also serve as an important vehicle to engage the business community in preparing for a bright future in a global economy. For more information about this program, please
