Description: The School for International Training's Study Abroad programs offers field-based study in over 57 countries. Students earn 16 semester credits on a 15-week experience designed to encourage a global awareness that enables people to live and act in an interdependent world. Groups of seven to 25 students are lead by one or two academic directors. Of all the cities the Moors occupied and lost in Spain, they most mourned the loss of Granada, in which they found their chief joy and delight. The magnificent Alhambra still dominates this beautiful city, which, with its intriguing old Muslim quarter and breathtaking setting in the Sierra Nevada, is an inspiring location in which to study the unique customs and diverse cultures of Andalusia.

Spain Report In the Spirit of "Amistad"
By Shinji Shimizu, SGI-Spain Chief Secretary
This May, SGI-Spain held special meetings throughout the country, which were attended by more than 2,000 members and their guests. Over the last nine years, the membership of SGI-Spain has grown tenfold: at a recent study course for youth members, as many as 70 percent of the attendees had begun practicing Buddhism within the last five years.
Enrique Caputo Enrique Caputo, SGI-Spain's vice general director, who lives in the Canary Islands, says: "The places where we must demonstrate our faith are our workplaces, our neighborhoods and our homes." Enrique himself came from Argentina 10 years ago, at a time when the unemployment rate in Spain was around 20 percent and the economy was in a recession. The fact that he was able to find work with a major company became a source of great encouragement to other members. Several of Enrique's friends eventually decided to try practicing Buddhism, and later joined the SGI, since they saw that the practice was capable of actually making people happy.

We don't know either, but we do our best to supply you with lots of information so you can find the answer to this question and many others by yourself.
