A total of $16.7 million is available for the SFMNP in 2003: $15 million from the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution of 2003, and $1.7 million in unspent SFMNP funds from 2002. The SFMNP will operate in 35 states, 3 Indian Tribal Organizations, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia during the 2003 season. All 36 State agencies that received funding in 2002 will receive funding in 2003. In addition, four new State agencies—Kansas, Kentucky, Nevada and Puerto Rico—will also receive funding.
