Custom Programs
Specially tailored courses for your specific needs
Developing customized executive education programs and consulting services to assist companies in meeting their strategic challenges and goals. In addition to the more than eighty seminars, workshops, conferences and other programs offered each year on an open-enrollment basis, the Center offers a wide range of services on a customized basis. In fact, the University of South Carolina, through the activities of the Center, was ranked 4th in the nation among the top ten providers of custom programs ( Executive Education , January/February 1995). In-house presentation of seminars and workshops
Most of the Center's public programs workshops can be adapted to client specifications or presented intact in the client's facility or at another location selected by the client, including the center's facilities in the The Darla Moore School of Business.
These offerings are available for managers, supervisors, executives, business owners, office support people and many other specialized groups. They offer flexibility and the opportunity for customization to meet specific needs. Often, they are more cost-effective than sending a large group to a public seminar.
Needs Analysis
To assist your company's precision in identifying critical issues, Center staff and instructors will help determine the special training needs of your organization or department through the use of needs-assessment instruments. Results of the analyses are then used in developing recommendations for specialized instruction and other educational programs.

SC SHRAB Strategic Plan, 2000-2005 The following are the key elements of the SC SHRAB’s strategic plan to advance the state’s historical records programs and preserve South Carolina’s documentary heritage. It is much more than a plan for the Board, but is rather one for South Carolina. As such, it requires cooperation and collaboration from all the state’s historical organizations and institutions and from the widest range of the state’s citizens and leaders. The Board identified six equally important priorities and developed related goals, set objectives, and established indicators for measuring performance. It will review progress regularly and will disseminate the results widely through its annual and other reports. A full, illustrated, version of the state plan, Into the 21 st Century: A Plan for South Carolina’s Historical Records, 2000-2005 , contains detailed background on the planning process and findings and needs.
