Problem Sets

The goals of this course are:

1) to apply geophysical methods to determine shallow crustal structure
2) to learn numerical methods commonly used in geophysical modelling.
The general approach will be:
1) to introduce a geophysical problem to be solved
2) to cover the theoretical background and methods used to acquire relevant data
3) to introduce a numerical method needed to analyze the data or interpret the data in terms of a model. 4) to apply the numerical method to the geophysical problem.
Exams
Exams will focus on the geophysical problems and the theory behind the numerical methods. Midterm Exam 10:00-10:50 am Friday, November 12 Room 195 Phys/Geo Final Exam 10:00-10:50 am Friday, December 10th
