OSU Sea Grant Extension (SGE) works to improve the lives and livelihoods of Oregonians on the coast and throughout the state. SGE faculty deliver educational programs on watershed management, seafood processing, commercial fisheries management, natural hazards, community development, and business and marine education. Through Oregon Sea Grant and the Extension Service, SGE faculty forge community connections, partner with coastal agencies and organizations, conduct research and deliver research-based information to citizens.

Founded in 1939 in Seattle, offers public classes in fly tying and fly casting and sponsors an active youth program. A subsidiary organization, the WFFC Foundation, provides financial grants for fisheries research and enhancement, conservation education, and similar activities.
