163. Scotland, PA
Movie review and pictures.
http://www.haro-online.com/movies/scotland_pa.html
Scotland, PA In recent years, it seems that there is a rush to retell William Shakespeare's plays in film, with wildly variant results. Scotland, PA is Billy Morrissette's attempt at Macbeth , transplanting the Scottish play to the small town of Scotland in the 1970s. Not only is the castle now a fast food restaurant, but there is also a strange streak of black comedy running through the entire movie. It seems the only thing missing is Julia Stiles, who seems to lurk somewhere in most Shakespeare remakes. Joe "Mac" McBeth (James LeGros, Life in the Fast Lane If You Only Knew ) works at Duncan's with his wife Pat (Maura Tierney, Instinct Forces of Nature under owner Norm Duncan (James Rebhorn, Meet the Parents The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle ). Pat and Mac want something better, and they scheme to off Duncan and buy the restaurant for themselves. They finish the job, and quickly turn the restaurant, now named McBeth's, into an unqualified success due to their new innovation, where customers order from their cars by speaking into an intercom and pulling up to pick up their food. McBeth's is a funny parody of McDonald's. Duncan's murder proves mysterious, attracting out-of-town policeman Lt. Ernie McDuff (Christopher Walken, The Affair of the Necklace America's Sweethearts ). McDuff believes that Duncan's son Malcolm (Tom Guiry

MZ Riders Club South of Scotland Page updated : Site designed by Mike MZRC South of Scotland The news will appear here when the page has finished loading. ... If it's true that God rides a Harley ... Then He probably uses an MZ for going to work! Hello, and welcome to the online site for the South of Scotland Section of the MZ Riders Club . My name is Mike Paterson and as well as being a founder member of the Section, and it's Area Rep from 1993 - 2002, I'm the current National Regalia Officer for the MZRC - which just means that I am the person responsible for the motley collection of t-shirts and sweatshirts that you'll find club members wearing. The general idea behind this site is to let you know what the MZ Riders Club is doing in Central and Southern Scotland (which is the Section's catchment area). We would like to encourage you to come along and meet other like-minded MZ folk and to that end we hold monthly meetings and the occasional camping weekend. Section members can also attend other national club events the length and breadth of the country, as well as some overseas, during the year. I've updated the site a little , clearing up some of the problems with the earlier versions, and I hope that you find it easy to use. It has gotten a lot bigger than I had intended

Four-try England overcome Scotland
Grayson (left) took over the kicking from the injured Jonny Wilkinson Story Tools EDINBURGH, Scotland World champions England, the Six Nations title-holders, maintained their bid for back-to-back Grand Slams, with a 35-13 victory in the Calcutta Cup match against Scotland at Murrayfield. Paul Grayson, occupying the kicking role in the absence of injured Jonny Wilkinson, provided 15 points with three penalties and three conversions. Tries from Ben Cohen, Iain Balshaw, Josh Lewsey and Danny Grewcock helped England to a record score at Murrayfield, surpassing the 34-20 in 1996. Scotland, who were forced to live off scraps, managed a try through wing Simon Danielli with skipper and fly-half Chris Paterson kicking their other points. But there was some hope for their long-suffering fans, disheartened by the way they lost 23-10 against Wales last week, when Scotland opened the scoring. After a powerful drive by the Scottish pack, Irish referee David McHugh penalized England for holding on at the ruck.

Many thousands are feared dead
Passengers from flights bound for the United States and Canada are being accommodated in hotels around Scotland. Some flights were turned back mid-flight and others cancelled before take-off, when all US airports were closed on Tuesday afternoon. All flights in the US were grounded after four planes were hijacked and flown into strategic targets across the country. The devastation in New York led to flights being sent back to countries all over the world. The pressure on hotel beds was so severe in Glasgow where a huge international medical conference is taking place this week, that some passengers had to be taken by bus to Ayrshire and Dunbartonshire. Passengers from an Air Canada flight have been found beds at a halls of residence in Glasgow. It is believed some passengers were taken to the North of England.
