CHURCH GOVERNMENT AND PRESBYTERIANISM
Government
Church of Scotland government is organised on the basis of courts, mainly along lines set between 1560 and 1690. Each of these courts has developed committees, which may include other members of the Church, and those at national level now employ full-time staff. At local level: the parish - the court is a kirk session . Kirk sessions oversee the local congregation and its parish, and consist of elders presided over by a minister. More information about our parishes is available here At district level: the court is a presbytery . Presbyteries consist of all the ministers in the district and an equal number of elders, along with members of the diaconate (a form of ordained ministry, usually working in a complementary role in a ministry team in both parish and industry sector contexts). A guide to Church of Scotland presbytery business and boundaries is available here At national level: the court is the highest court of the Kirk - the

Special Licence - new arrangements for access to social survey microdata Access to the large majority of data held at the UK Data Archive (UKDA) only requires registration, agreement to the End User Licence (EUL) and the registration of usage details. It is recognised that some researchers need access to more detailed data. To facilitate this and to increase the range of data available for statistical research, the Office for National Statistics (ONS), in collaboration with UKDA, has developed a strategy to provide access to social survey datasets that are detailed, yet anonymised. Since these data pose a higher risk of disclosure, they have additional special conditions attached to them that take the form of a Special Licence (SL). The SL requires the signature(s) of the researcher(s) and the institution with responsibility for the researcher. It also needs the explicit permission of the data owner to release the data to the researcher(s). Users who obtain access under the SL are also required to read and follow the Guide to good practice: micro data handling and security Derived Variables over time ESDS Government is producing a series of look-up tables of variables that are consistent over time on the key government surveys, along with accompanying syntax to derive consistent variables.

The large-scale government surveys, such as the General Household Survey and the Labour Force Survey , are key data resources for social science researchers. The work of ESDS Government, led by CCSR , includes:
  • raising awareness of the research potential of the government datasets providing user support through a dedicated help line , user groups and FAQs exchanging information between users and producers running training courses on key topics of interest, on specific statistical packages and on methods of statistical analysis providing topic-related online course materials and a range of teaching datasets creating a number of value-added products which provide easy routes through the complex documentation of the government surveys working closely with ONS and other data producers to ensure that the complementarity of interest between producers, commissioning government departments and academic users is maximised.
The acquisition, processing and delivery of the large-scale government datasets under this service is undertaken by the

Greetings and Welcome to Argyllshire!
My name is Darren McCathern, I am the County Coordinator for Argyllshire Scotland. My birthplace is located in Amarillo Texas
My family history is very deeply rooted in Argyllshire. My 33rd Great Grandfather was King Achaius whom was King of Dalriada. This man was the Grandfather of Kenneth MacAlpin King of Scotland. In all, I am directly descended from 12 Ancient Kings of Dalriada whom were the descendants of Fergus The Great. Fergus and his five brothers came from Ireland to assist their Grandfather King Loarn whom was being oppressed by the Picts, and consequently vanquished the Picts from the land, which as a result afforded Fergus being elected the first absolute King of Scotland and the Milesian Race. To learn more information about the Kings of Scotland you may visit the Scotland Royalty Archives Please feel free to join the mailing lists provided for research in Argyllshire, and be sure to post your queries in our query system to help other researchers help you with your research in Argyllshire Scotland. If you have transcribed records for Argyllshire and have Genealogical and Historical information to contibute, we would appreciate your help in making these valuable records available for the public to enjoy.

    CONGREGATIO CATOLICA SINE DOGMA
    CONGREGATIO CATOLICA SINE DOGMA (CCSD)
(The Catholic Congregation Without Dogma) (CCSD) is a congregation founded in 1995 by some ULC ministers and it is led by a Prince-Cardinal, His Royal Eminence, The Prince-Cardinal Michael. The ULC stands for The Universal Life Church, and if you would like to be an ordained minister you should visit ULC . As a congregation of ULC we only believe in that which is right and every member of CCSD also has the right to interpret what is right for themselves. But CCSD follows the Catholic Church's model.
    THE PRINCIPALITY OF ZUGESBUCHT
is a principality of the church ruled by the Prince-Cardinal. Therefore it could be compared with the Vatican. The Principality actually exsists and is situated in the historic Highland County of Caithness in Scotland. The Prince-Cardinal is also a Laird of Camster.
    STATEMENT
We, the Prince-Cardinal of the Principality of Zugesbucht great you! We have discovered a lack of what the Vatican is in the real world, and would like to bring it into the world of micronations. Note, that the religious aspect is only secondary and We accept all faiths. We would like to have archbishops and bishops around the world, and if you are, or if you have someone among your citizens, who is interested in religious aspects - regardless of faith - please, let him or her know about our webpage.
