Pursuing graduate education in this increasingly complex discipline requires careful examination of four factors: 1) your interests, 2) educational opportunities, 3) employment and professional aspirations, and 4) requirements for licensure. Then you must consider how you will integrate high quality education and required residencies into your life. Seem complicated? Not at Capella University. Our programs are designed so you learn through a blend of theoretical principles, research and applied experiences. We accomplish this through a combination of online coursework and face-to-face disbursed residency. Degree Programs
The School of Psychology offers accredited online degree programs at the Master's and Doctor's levels. Areas of Specialization
The following specializations allow you to tailor your studies to your career and personal interests: Clinical Psychology Request More Information
Master's learners admitted to clinical psychology typically intend to pursue a doctoral degree. Capella offers a PsyD in the area of clinical psychology which complements this MS degree. Some graduates may pursue Master's level licenses as psychological assistants, technicians, etc., and therefore need to be familiar with the license requirements of their state psychology board. However, these learners will not be eligible for the independent practice of psychology, and these Master's degree requirements do not prepare graduates for licensure as psychologists.

So little research has been done on the work of screenwriter and novelist Vera Caspary (1899-1987) that her open acknowledgment in Laura (1942) of her debt to the multiple testimony narrative structure that Wilkie Collins developed in The Woman in White (1860) and The Moonstone (1868) is virtually unknown, yet the influence extends even beyond the direct link that Caspary offered for inspection. What Caspary did not highlight in testimonial documents were the additional parallels between her work and Collins' great novels. Archival evidence, including the unpublished screen treatment that preceded the novel, indicates that the principal characterizations of Laura , as well as its sensational plot, benefited beyond structure from Collins' influence...

Master of Science in Clinical Psychology The Clinical Psychology A Specialization in Neuropsychology is available for graduate students completing an M.S. Clinical Psychology. The 15 hour neuropsychology sequence is included in the 24 hours of courses beyond the required 36 hours of foundation courses. The clinical neuropsychology specialization is also available for students with a master's or doctoral degree who desire training in neuropsychology. The sequence of courses includes brain functioning and neuroanatomy, psychopharmacology, organic mental diseases, diagnosis and neuropsychological assessment. Upon completion of the 15-hour sequence, a certificate will be awarded. The Specialization in School Psychology provides the opportunity for the student to evaluate, counsel, prescribe and implement remedial procedures for students with behavioral, intellectual, and emotional problems. Because of the broad scope of this program, graduates may not be limited to employment in school settings. In accordance with state requirements and in relation to the UTT degree plan, the school specialization requires a 36 hour specialization sequence beyond the 30 hours of foundation courses. This specialization fulfills the educational requirements necessary to qualify for the Licensed Specialist in School Psychology from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
