How To Apply
Applications must be made to the Faculty of Graduate Studies of your "home" university. This is the Canadian university from which you most recently graduated or at which you are currently enrolled. You must be a graduate of a Canadian university when tenure of the scholarship begins. If your home university has no Faculty of Graduate Studies, please submit your application to the Awards Office at that university. You may apply for both scholarships with a single application if the eligibility criteria are met for both. A complete application consists of the following, each of which should be sent directly to the "Mackenzie King Scholarships Competition" c/o the Faculty of Graduate Studies of your home university:
  • The completed and signed application form (including attached sheets A and B as described on that form).

  • Three letters of reference from persons who have an intimate knowledge of your record and ability and are able to give a critical evaluation of your plans for postgraduate study.

  • At least two of these testimonials must be from persons under whom you have taken your major work at university, or from senior colleagues with whom you have been associated in academic teaching or research.

    1.0 PURPOSE
    1.1 The Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Trust, which is a registered charity in England, with the support of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and of the Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Foundation in Australia, is offering to Australians two post-graduate scholarships in law for tenure at universities in the United Kingdom. 1.2The scholarships are awarded in memory of the Right Honourable Sir Robert Menzies, KT AK CH QC , Prime Minister of Australia from 1939 to 1941 and from 1949 to 1966. 2.0 TENURE 2.1 The universities principally in mind are those of Oxford, Cambridge, St Andrews and Edinburgh. The Trustees will, however, receive and treat on merit applications for other universities or other institutions. 2.2 The award will be tenable for either one or two academic years. Candidates proposing to undertake more extensive academic studies (for example the three year DPhil at Oxford) will be expected to fund the first year of their studies themselves, with the scholarship applying to the final two years only.

    Student Financial Assistance SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION Western Kentucky University offers a variety of scholarships to qualifying students including Merit Scholarships, Tuition Incentive Program (TIP), Departmental Scholarships and Alumni Grants.     Graduate Scholarship
    This is only available in alternate academic years, ie 01/02 03/04 05/06 For the academical year 2003/04 the College will award one Graduate Scholarship in either the Arts or Social Sciences to a student of British nationality normally resident in the United Kingdom who has been admitted by the Board of Graduate Studies and who has nominated Darwin as their College of first preference on CIGAS Form 'A'. The Scholarship is restricted to those applying for one-year courses and is not intended for those wishing to be registered for the Ph.D. Degree. The Scholarship covers both University and College fees together with a maintenance allowance.

    Darwin College Philosophy Studentship
    Darwin offers one or more Philosophy Studentships of up to 2,000 pounds to students undertaking graduate work in the Faculty of Philosophy. However, other things being equal, preference will be given to UK students. No special application forms are necessary and all eligible applicants will be considered from information contained in their CIGAS file. The tenure of the awards is one year, but holders may re-apply in subsequent years.
    Darwin College Bursaries
    In addition, the College also offers several Darwin College Bursaries of 1,000 pounds tenable in any subject and unrestricted as to nationality of the applicant. These awards are for one year only and cannot be renewed. Those wishing to apply for these Bursaries must do so on the appropriate application form which can be obtained by writing to the Dean. Only students coming into their first year of graduate study are eligible.

    The National University of Singapore [NUS] offers 40 scholarships each year to nationals of ASEAN member countries to take full-time course-work graduate degrees at NUS. Singapore citizens and permanent residents are ineligible. These awards, known as the NUS Graduate Scholarship for ASEAN nationals [NUS GSA], are financed by the People of Singapore and the University. The initial award is for an academic year (2 semesters) and may be extended on a semester basis, subject to the scholar's performance. The scholar has no obligation or bond to NUS or Singapore but is expected to complete the graduate degree and return to the home country.

  • Federal Financial Aid
    The following information describes application procedures for loans, grants, and employment administered by the Office of Financial Aid on the Medford campus (617-627-2000). These programs include Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Perkins Loans, and Federal Work-Study. Federal Stafford Loans (low-interest), Federal Perkins Loans, and Federal Work Study programs are offered to students based upon their financial need and satisfactory academic progress. These programs are administered by Tufts Student Financial Services, which maintains information on all federal programs as well as alternative forms of financing such as non-need based loans. Federal aid is available for US citizens and permanent residents only.
