Saskatchewan Culture
Sask Scene calls it a wrap!
Eight young multimedia artists hit the road this summer to capture Saskatchewan stories on film. The Scene Team travelled the province to attend cultural festivals and events from May through August. They interviewed hundreds of young Saskatchewan people and got their views on what it means to grow up and plan a future in Saskatchewan. The sometimes surprising, and always spontaneous, interviews were edited into a series of vignettes and can be viewed at www.saskscene.ca Sask Scene was a collaborative effort involving the First Nations University of Canada, Saskatchewan Industry and Resources, and the arts and culture community in Saskatchewan. The aim of the partnership was to develop the skills of multimedia students while raising awareness of the wealth of opportunities available to young people in Saskatchewan. Some of the vignettes have been re-edited and are airing as public service announcements on provincial television stations.
